Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII Head Black – B-Stock
Description
Quick Product Summary
The Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII Head in Black is a powerful twin-channel all-valve guitar amplifier designed to deliver everything from bold, articulate cleans to thick, harmonically rich high-gain tones.
With switchable 50W and 25W output, valve-driven spring reverb, a valve-buffered effects loop and Orange's built-in attenuator, the Rockerverb 50 MKIII offers serious flexibility for stage, rehearsal and studio use. This B-Stock example is finished in understated Black basket-weave vinyl.
What Makes the Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII Special?
The Rockerverb has become one of Orange's defining modern valve amplifiers, combining the company's distinctive British character with enough gain and versatility for contemporary playing. The Clean channel offers substantial clarity and headroom, while the Dirty channel ranges from muscular crunch through to heavily saturated lead and rhythm tones without losing definition.
The MKIII design adds practical control over the power section with selectable 50W or 25W operation alongside a built-in attenuator. This allows players to push the amplifier harder while managing overall output level. Valve-driven spring reverb and a valve-buffered series effects loop further expand its usefulness on stage and in the studio.
Who Is It For?
The Rockerverb 50 MKIII is ideal for players who want a professional-grade valve head capable of covering both clean and high-gain sounds without relying entirely on pedals.
Its responsive Dirty channel makes it particularly well suited to rock, alternative, punk, hard rock, metal, stoner rock and heavier styles, while the spacious Clean channel works equally well for cleaner playing and pedal-based rigs.
The switchable output power and attenuator also make it a strong option for players who need the same core amplifier for recording, rehearsals and live performance.

FAQs
Is the Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII a valve amplifier?
Yes. The Rockerverb 50 MKIII is an all-valve amplifier using ECC83/12AX7 and ECC81/12AT7 valves in its preamp stages alongside a pair of EL34 power valves.
How powerful is the Rockerverb 50 MKIII?
The amplifier delivers 50 watts at full power and can be switched down to 25 watts in half-power mode.
Does the Rockerverb 50 MKIII have two channels?
Yes. It features independent Clean and Dirty channels, allowing the amplifier to cover everything from clear clean sounds to heavily saturated overdrive.
What does the built-in attenuator do?
The attenuator allows the overall output volume to be reduced while retaining the character of a driven valve amplifier. This makes it easier to achieve saturated tones at more manageable listening levels.
Is the attenuator footswitchable?
Yes. The attenuator can be controlled remotely using a compatible latching footswitch, making it particularly useful for switching between rhythm and lead volume levels.
Does it have spring reverb?
Yes. The Rockerverb 50 MKIII features valve-driven spring reverb, with its own front-panel level control.
Does it have an effects loop?
Yes. A valve-buffered series effects loop is provided for external effects. Delay, modulation and reverb pedals can be particularly effective when placed in the loop.
Can the Rockerverb 50 MKIII be used for high-gain music?
Yes. The Dirty channel offers substantial gain and is particularly well suited to hard rock, alternative, metal and heavier guitar styles while retaining good note definition.
Can it also produce clean tones?
Yes. The dedicated Clean channel provides a clear and full response with substantial headroom, giving the amplifier considerably more flexibility than a dedicated high-gain-only design.
Does the amplifier include a speaker?
No. This is an amplifier head and must be connected to a compatible external speaker cabinet.
What speaker cabinets can I connect?
The head supports a single 16-ohm cabinet, a single 8-ohm cabinet or two 16-ohm cabinets when connected to the appropriate outputs.
Is a footswitch included?
A footswitch is not included unless specifically stated. Compatible latching Orange footswitches can be connected for remote operation of supported functions.
