Roland RD-2000 EX Flagship Stage Piano
Description
Quick Product Summary
The Roland RD-2000 EX Flagship Stage Piano is a professional 88-note performance instrument built for demanding stage and studio work. Combining Roland's premium PHA-50 hybrid keyboard with two independent sound engines, extensive real-time control and flexible connectivity, it gives serious keyboard players a powerful centrepiece for sophisticated live rigs.
The EX edition comes with the German Concert and Essential Upright V-Piano Expansions pre-installed, extending its already impressive acoustic piano collection. Alongside these are classic SuperNATURAL electric pianos, Virtual ToneWheel organs and more than 1,100 additional sounds covering synths, strings, brass and much more.
What Makes the Roland RD-2000 EX Special?
At the heart of the RD-2000 EX is Roland's V-Piano modeling technology, delivering highly detailed acoustic piano sounds with full polyphony and extensive Piano Designer adjustment. The German Concert expansion brings a powerful concert-grand character, while Essential Upright provides the distinctive response and intimate sound of a premium upright piano. A separate SuperNATURAL engine handles electric pianos and an extensive range of additional instrument sounds.
For live performance, the RD-2000 EX offers exceptional control. Eight assignable zones can combine internal sounds with external hardware and software instruments, while nine illuminated sliders and eight encoder knobs provide immediate hands-on adjustment. Professional XLR and jack outputs, traditional MIDI, 24-bit/192 kHz USB audio/MIDI and 100 Scene memories make it equally capable as a stage piano and master controller.
Who Is It For?
The Roland RD-2000 EX is designed for professional pianists, touring keyboard players, session musicians, musical directors, theatre performers, worship musicians and serious studio users who require premium piano feel alongside extensive sound and controller capabilities.
It is especially well suited to complex live setups where multiple internal sounds, external synths and computer-based instruments need to be controlled from a single 88-note weighted keyboard.
