Taylor 614ce Acoustic Guitar, (Used)

The Taylor 614ce is a USA-built Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar from Taylor’s 600 Series, combining a torrefied Sitka spruce top with figured Big Leaf maple back and sides. It uses Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape with Venetian cutaway construction, delivering a balanced response across fingerstyle and strummed playing styles. The instrument features V-Class bracing, developed by Andy Powers, which increases sustain, volume, and intonation consistency across the fretboard.

The neck is constructed from tropical mahogany with a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard and bridge. Specifications include a 25.5-inch scale length, 1-3/4-inch nut width, 20 frets, and Taylor’s standard neck carve. The body uses a gloss finish with the 600 Series “Brown Sugar” stain treatment applied to the maple back and sides, highlighting the figured grain beneath the finish. Decorative appointments include ebony binding, paua rosette detailing, and Taylor Wings inlays.

The electronics system is Taylor’s Expression System 2 (ES2), using a behind-the-saddle pickup design with active onboard volume and EQ controls. The guitar ships with a deluxe hardshell case and is built as a full professional-grade acoustic-electric instrument intended for studio recording, stage performance, and high-end acoustic playing applications.
