Yamaha YTR-3335S Student B♭ Trumpet - Silver-Plated Finish

The Yamaha YTR-3335S features a reversed tuning slide that allows for a easy blowing instrument at a great price making it the perfect beginners instrument. The reversed tuning slide allows the airflow of the instrument to be unrestricted from mouthpiece to bell, resulting in a smoother tone and making the instrument easier to play. A yellow brass bell and clear lacquer give the instrument not only a great finish but also a warm and sonorous sound. Included with the trumpet is a lightweight rucksack case and TR-11B4 mouthpiece.

New Design

With the redesigned valve system, the pistons themselves have been constructed from a durable monel alloy, which is not only strong, but maximizes sound quality as well. The bottom caps and the have been redesigned to give a longer life to the instrument and to help create a deeper tone. The 2nd and main tunings slides have been designed and produced using a craftmanship that is normally only common on the professional standard of instruments. This produces unmatched control and projection through the instrument.

Professional Style Tuning Slide

Yamaha have introduced a concept that is generally unheard of with student and beginner trumpets. The reversed main tuning slide means the air does not get resisted by tuning slides being forced in to outer receivers. As a result, the bore size of the two ends of the tuning slides increases rather than fluctuates. In all, this creates a less restrictive instrument and an easier instrument to play. An extra brace has also been added to the tuning slide to give more rigidity to the instrument.

The medium large bore allows for a smooth and easy blowing instrument that gives a light repsonse for the performer. It also gives the correct amount of resistance through the instrument meaning it's easy to put plenty of air through the instrument without needing a huge lung capacity. The durable yet light two piece yellow brass bell gives perfect playability and promotes good technique and endurance.
