Description
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Les Paul SG Custom with Maestro Vibrola Classic White is a solid body electric guitar that recreates the specifications of the early 1960s Les Paul SG Custom in collaboration with Gibson Custom. Finished in Classic White, this double cutaway electric guitar features a solid mahogany body and a one-piece mahogany neck with a long neck tenon for enhanced resonance and sustain. The bound ebony fingerboard is fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block inlays, while the 24.75" scale length and SlimTaper profile provide the fast and comfortable playing feel associated with vintage SG Custom models. Gold hardware, multi-ply binding and the split diamond headstock inlay complete the instrument’s period-correct appearance.
The electronics feature a trio of Gibson USA Custombucker humbuckers, delivering the articulate response and tonal versatility associated with vintage Gibson electric guitars. Controls include independent volume and tone controls for the pickups alongside a three-way selector switch, allowing access to a wide range of tones suitable for clean, overdriven and high-gain applications. Premium electronic components include CTS potentiometers, Switchcraft switches and wiring inspired by vintage Gibson specifications, ensuring reliable performance and authentic signal response.
Additional specifications include a Maestro Vibrola tailpiece, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, Graph Tech nut and Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines with double-ring Keystone buttons. As part of the Inspired by Gibson Custom Collection, the 1963 Les Paul SG Custom with Maestro Vibrola combines vintage-correct styling, premium materials and Gibson USA electronics to recreate one of the most distinctive electric guitar designs of the early 1960s. The combination of a mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, triple humbucker configuration and Maestro Vibrola system makes this model a faithful representation of the original SG Custom platform.
