The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 30th Anniversary "Blackie" Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is a tribute to Eric Clapton's iconic guitar, "Blackie." This model features a two-piece select alder body finished in a black Journeyman Relic® lacquer, replicating the worn-in look and feel of Clapton's original instrument. The neck is a one-piece quartersawn maple with a custom "Soft V" profile, providing a comfortable playing experience. The 22-fret maple fingerboard has a 9.5" radius and vintage-style frets, contributing to the guitar's vintage aesthetic and playability. 

Electrically, the guitar is equipped with Fender Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups, delivering the classic Stratocaster tones associated with Clapton's playing. The control layout includes a master volume, TBX tone control, and active mid-boost circuit, allowing for a wide range of tonal possibilities. The five-way pickup selector switch provides versatility, enabling players to access various tonal combinations.

Hardware appointments include a six-saddle American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, and a one-ply parchment pickguard, all contributing to the guitar's authentic appearance and performance. This limited edition model, produced in 2018, celebrates three decades since the introduction of Clapton's signature Stratocaster, offering musicians a chance to own a piece of Fender's rich history.
