Description

Quick Product Summary

The Jackson JS Series Rhoads JS32T in White with Black Bevels combines one of Jackson's most iconic body shapes with a fast-playing 24-fret neck, powerful dual humbuckers and the straightforward stability of a fixed bridge.

The angular poplar Rhoads body wears a high-contrast gloss White finish with Black Bevels, matched with black hardware, a black pickguard and zebra humbuckers for a look that is unmistakably rooted in hard rock and metal.

A graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck is paired with a fully bound amaranth fingerboard featuring Jackson's 12"-16" compound radius and 24 jumbo frets. The neck feels comfortable for rhythm work lower down while becoming progressively flatter towards the upper register for bends, fast lead playing and technical techniques.

Twin Jackson High-Output ceramic humbuckers provide plenty of output for distorted rhythm tones and sustained leads, while a three-position toggle, master volume and master tone keep the controls simple.

Unlike the Floyd Rose-equipped Rhoads JS32, the JS32T uses a TOM-style adjustable string-through-body bridge, making it especially appealing to players who value straightforward restringing, stable tuning and easier alternate-tuning changes.

Fair Deal Quality Control Assessment

Every new guitar sold by Fair Deal Music is checked before leaving us so that obvious functional or setup issues can be identified before dispatch.

Our assessment includes:

  • Neck relief and string action

  • Fret condition

  • Nut and string alignment

  • Pickup output and balance

  • Three-position pickup selector

  • Volume and tone controls

  • Output connection

  • Tuning machine operation

  • Bridge and saddle adjustment

  • Intonation

  • General tuning stability

  • Overall structural and visual condition

The guitar is checked and set up to a suitable playing condition before leaving Fair Deal Music.

As with any wooden instrument, setup can shift slightly during delivery because of changes in temperature and humidity. Minor adjustment after arrival can occasionally be required as the guitar settles into its new environment.

Service / Setup Work

The Jackson JS32T is checked before dispatch for suitable neck relief, action, intonation, tuning operation and general playability.

Its fixed string-through bridge makes routine maintenance and future changes in tuning considerably simpler than on a floating tremolo system.

Substantial changes in string gauge or tuning can still require corresponding neck relief and intonation adjustments.

Why Choose The Jackson JS32T Rhoads?

Iconic Rhoads Styling

The asymmetric Rhoads body shape is one of Jackson's defining designs.

The combination of a White gloss body, sharply contrasting Black Bevels, black hardware and pointed headstock gives this version enormous visual presence without relying on an elaborate finish.

Fixed-Bridge Practicality

The JS32T uses a Jackson TOM-style adjustable string-through-body bridge rather than a Floyd Rose.

That means faster restringing, easier tuning changes and no tremolo springs or locking nut to manage.

For rhythm-focused players or anyone regularly switching between standard and drop tunings, it is a particularly sensible Jackson configuration.

24 Jumbo Frets

Twenty-four jumbo frets provide a full two-octave range on every string.

The additional upper-register access is especially useful for lead guitar, tapping and modern techniques, while the larger fretwire provides a positive surface for bends and vibrato.

Compound-Radius Fingerboard

Jackson's 12"-16" compound radius begins more curved near the nut and gradually becomes flatter towards the highest frets.

That combination makes lower-position chords and riffs comfortable while providing additional room higher up the neck for wide bends and fast technical playing.

Graphite-Reinforced Maple Neck

The maple Speed Neck uses graphite reinforcement and a scarf joint.

Graphite adds structural support to the neck, while the satin neck finish provides a smooth surface for position changes and faster playing.

Ceramic High-Output Humbuckers

Two Jackson High-Output humbuckers use ceramic magnets to provide the stronger output associated with modern rock and metal tones.

The bridge pickup delivers the attack needed for riffs and power chords, while the neck position gives leads and melodic playing a fuller response.

Comparison Against Popular Alternatives

Jackson JS32T Rhoads vs Jackson JS32 Rhoads

The biggest difference is the bridge.

The JS32 uses a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, making it better suited to dive bombs, aggressive tremolo effects and players who actively use a whammy bar.

The JS32T uses a fixed string-through bridge, making it easier to restring, adjust and use with different tunings.

Jackson JS32T White with Black Bevels vs JS32T Satin Black

Both share the same core JS32T specification.

The choice is primarily visual: Satin Black delivers a stealthier appearance, while White with Black Bevels creates much stronger contrast and makes the Rhoads outline particularly prominent.

Jackson JS32T Rhoads vs Jackson Dinky

A Jackson Dinky uses a more conventional double-cutaway body and is typically easier to position in a traditional seated playing position.

Choose the JS32T if you want the unmistakable Rhoads visual identity. Choose a Dinky if conventional body ergonomics are the greater priority.

Jackson JS32T vs RR Minion

The RR Minion uses a much shorter 22.5-inch scale and reduced dimensions, making it better suited to younger players and smaller hands.

The JS32T is a full-size 25.5-inch instrument designed for players who want conventional Jackson scale length and string tension.

Who Is It For?

The Jackson JS32T Rhoads is particularly well suited to:

  • Metal guitarists

  • Hard-rock players

  • Jackson and Rhoads fans

  • Rhythm-focused players

  • Developing lead guitarists

  • Guitarists wanting 24 frets

  • Players who prefer fixed bridges

  • Musicians experimenting with Drop D and alternative tunings

  • Guitarists upgrading from a basic dual-humbucker electric

  • Players wanting aggressive styling without Floyd Rose maintenance

Playing Styles & Applications

The JS32T is naturally at home through high-gain rock and metal amplification.

The bridge humbucker provides the punch required for palm-muted riffs, power chords and fast rhythm work, while the neck pickup offers more body for solos and smoother melodic parts.

The middle selector position combines both pickups for a broader rhythm sound.

Its fixed bridge makes it particularly practical for players who regularly change tuning or prefer a stable platform for hard rhythm picking.

The compound-radius neck and 24-fret range also make it well suited to lead techniques including legato, tapping, alternate picking, wide bends and vibrato.

Fixed Bridge vs Floyd Rose: Which Jackson Should You Choose?

A Floyd Rose is the better option if dive bombs, pull-ups and dramatic tremolo effects are a central part of your playing.

However, a double-locking tremolo introduces additional setup considerations because string tension and bridge position work together.

The JS32T's fixed TOM-style bridge avoids that complexity. You can change strings, move into Drop D or experiment with heavier gauges without balancing a floating bridge.

For players who rarely use a tremolo arm, the fixed bridge can therefore be the more practical choice rather than a compromise.

Story & Context

The Jackson Rhoads design dates back to the early 1980s and originated through Jackson's work with guitarist Randy Rhoads.

Its asymmetric V outline was deliberately more radical than traditional guitar shapes and became closely connected with the emerging Jackson identity.

Over the following decades, the Rhoads shape became one of Jackson's defining instruments and has appeared across everything from high-end USA models to accessible JS Series guitars.

The JS32T brings that unmistakable design into a more affordable fixed-bridge format while retaining key Jackson features including a compound-radius neck, sharkfin inlays, 24 frets and high-output humbuckers.

Compatibility & Recommended Pairings

The Jackson JS32T Rhoads works particularly well with:

  • High-gain guitar amplifiers

  • Modelling amplifiers and processors

  • Distortion and overdrive pedals

  • Clean boost pedals

  • Noise gates

  • Delay and reverb

  • Pedal tuners

  • Quality instrument cables

  • Secure locking straps

Because of the asymmetric Rhoads body shape, choose a case or gig bag specifically designed or confirmed for Jackson Rhoads-style guitars rather than assuming a conventional electric guitar case will fit correctly.

Power Requirements

The Jackson High-Output humbuckers are passive, so the JS32T requires no battery or external power supply.

Connect the guitar to an amplifier, pedalboard, modeller or audio interface using a standard ¼-inch instrument cable.

Fair Deal Music Expert Verdict

★★★★★ 5/5

The Jackson JS Series Rhoads JS32T in White with Black Bevels is a strong choice for players who want one of Jackson's most iconic shapes without the additional ownership demands of a Floyd Rose.

The fixed bridge is one of its biggest practical advantages. It keeps string changes straightforward and makes the guitar much easier to adapt for different tunings.

The 24-fret compound-radius neck also provides plenty of room for developing lead technique, while the ceramic humbuckers make convincing rock and metal sounds easy to achieve through a suitable amplifier.

Visually, the White with Black Bevels finish is arguably one of the most effective treatments for the Rhoads shape because it emphasises the body's sharp geometry.

Best suited for: Rock and metal players wanting a full-size Rhoads with fixed-bridge stability.

Customers usually upgrade from: Entry-level dual-humbucker guitars, starter instruments or simpler fixed-bridge rock guitars.

Most commonly paired with: High-gain amplification, a boost or overdrive, noise gate and delay or reverb for lead work.

Our tip: If you regularly move between standard tuning and Drop D, the JS32T is considerably easier to live with than a floating-tremolo Rhoads.

Showroom feedback: The fixed bridge makes this one of the more approachable Rhoads models for everyday ownership while retaining the aggressive shape and fast-playing neck that attract players to Jackson in the first place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Jackson JS32T suitable for metal?

Yes. Its ceramic high-output humbuckers, 24-fret compound-radius neck and fixed bridge make it particularly well suited to metal and hard rock.

What is the difference between the JS32 and JS32T Rhoads?

The JS32 uses a double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo, while the JS32T uses a fixed TOM-style string-through-body bridge.

Is a fixed bridge better for alternative tunings?

It is generally easier to manage. Changing string tension does not alter the balance of a floating tremolo, making Drop D and other tuning changes much simpler.

Does the JS32T have active pickups?

No. The Jackson High-Output humbuckers are passive ceramic pickups and require no battery.

What does a 12"-16" compound radius mean?

The fingerboard is more curved near the nut and gradually becomes flatter towards the higher frets, combining comfortable rhythm playing with a flatter surface for lead techniques and bends.

Is the JS32T a full-size guitar?

Yes. It uses a conventional Jackson 25.5-inch scale length.

Can I use heavier strings?

Yes. The fixed bridge makes heavier-gauge setups relatively straightforward, although substantial gauge changes can require neck relief and intonation adjustment.

Is the Rhoads shape comfortable while seated?

It feels different from a conventional Dinky or S-style guitar. Many players use a classical-style position with the lower wing sitting between the legs.

What style of amplifier works best with it?

The high-output humbuckers pair particularly well with high-gain valve, solid-state and modelling amplifiers, although the guitar can also produce useful cleaner sounds at lower gain settings.
