Description
Quick Product Summary
The PRS SE P20E Parlour is a compact electro-acoustic guitar that combines the comfortable proportions of a traditional parlour instrument with a surprisingly full, warm and projecting sound. Its solid mahogany top and mahogany back and sides give it a rich, organic character that works particularly well for fingerstyle playing, songwriting, blues, folk and relaxed strumming.
This version pairs a striking Gloss Black top with Black Dog Hair satin back and sides, while the PRS-Voiced Fishman Presys VT pickup system makes it equally at home plugged into an acoustic amplifier, PA or recording setup. Premium appointments including an ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, PRS bird inlays and an included PRS gig bag make the P20E an exceptionally well-equipped compact acoustic.

What Makes the PRS SE P20E Special?
The P20E demonstrates just how much sound can come from a smaller acoustic guitar. Its all-mahogany construction produces a naturally warm and focused voice, while PRS Hybrid “X”/Classical bracing allows the solid top to vibrate freely for impressive projection and an even response. The shorter 24.72-inch scale length, compact Tonare Parlour body and PRS Wide Fat neck also give it an inviting playing feel that lends itself particularly well to extended practice, songwriting and fingerstyle work.
It is also much more than a compact acoustic for playing around the house. The PRS-Voiced Fishman Presys VT systemuses an undersaddle pickup with discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, allowing the character of the guitar to translate naturally when amplified. Ebony, bone and PRS's trademark bird inlays provide the premium finishing touches expected from the SE acoustic range.
Who Is It For?
The PRS SE P20E is an excellent choice for players who want a smaller-bodied acoustic without sacrificing projection or build quality. Its compact dimensions make it particularly comfortable for seated playing, travelling and songwriting sessions, while the warm mahogany voice suits fingerpickers, blues players and singer-songwriters especially well.
Its onboard pickup also makes it suitable for gigging musicians who need a portable acoustic that can be connected directly to an amplifier or PA. From progressing players looking for a high-quality first electro-acoustic to experienced guitarists wanting a distinctive parlour instrument alongside a larger dreadnought or auditorium guitar, the P20E has broad appeal.
Why Choose A Parlour Electro Acoustic Guitar?
Parlour guitars offer a more compact and intimate playing experience than larger dreadnought and jumbo-style acoustics. Their smaller bodies are comfortable to hold, easy to transport and often deliver a focused midrange response that works beautifully for fingerstyle playing, recording and vocal accompaniment.
Adding an onboard pickup expands that versatility even further. The P20E can be enjoyed acoustically at home and then connected directly to an acoustic amplifier, PA system or audio interface when rehearsing, recording or performing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the PRS SE P20E a full-size acoustic guitar?
It is a genuine professional-quality acoustic guitar but uses PRS's smaller Tonare Parlour body shape. This makes it noticeably more compact and comfortable than many dreadnought or jumbo acoustics while retaining impressive projection.
Does the PRS SE P20E have a solid top?
Yes. The P20E features a solid mahogany top, paired with mahogany back and sides for a warm, balanced and naturally focused acoustic character.
Can the PRS SE P20E be plugged into an amplifier?
Yes. It features a PRS-Voiced Fishman Presys VT pickup system, allowing the guitar to be connected to an acoustic amplifier, PA system, mixer or suitable recording equipment.
What controls does the pickup system have?
Volume and tone controls are positioned discreetly inside the soundhole, keeping the exterior of the guitar clean while providing convenient control over your amplified sound.
Is the P20E suitable for fingerstyle guitar?
Yes. Its compact body, shorter scale length and articulate mahogany voice make it particularly well suited to fingerstyle playing, blues, folk and more intricate acoustic arrangements.
Is it suitable for strumming?
Absolutely. The Hybrid “X”/Classical bracing helps the solid mahogany top produce good projection and an even response, allowing the P20E to handle both fingerpicking and strummed accompaniment.
What is the difference between the P20 and P20E?
The P20E is the electro-acoustic version and includes an onboard pickup system for amplified use. This guitar is the P20E with the PRS-Voiced Fishman Presys VT electronics.
Does the guitar come with a case?
A PRS gig bag is included, providing convenient protection for storage and transport.
Is the PRS SE P20E good for travelling?
The compact parlour body makes it considerably easier to transport than many larger acoustic guitars. Combined with the included gig bag, it is an excellent option for rehearsals, songwriting sessions and musicians regularly travelling with their instrument.
Is this guitar suitable for live performance?
Yes. The Fishman pickup system, compact dimensions and strong acoustic projection make the P20E particularly useful for singer-songwriters and acoustic performers who need a comfortable instrument that can move easily from rehearsal to the stage.
