Roland WM-1 Bluetooth MIDI Cable
Description
Quick Product Summary
The Roland WM-1 Wireless MIDI Adaptor provides a simple way to add wireless MIDI connectivity to keyboards, synthesisers, drum machines and other equipment fitted with standard 5-pin MIDI connections.
Using Bluetooth MIDI and Roland's proprietary wireless technology, the WM-1 can communicate with compatible Mac and iOS devices or other Roland WM-series products without traditional MIDI cables. Fast Mode offers latency as low as 3ms, making the WM-1 suitable for demanding performance and recording applications as well as everyday wireless control.
What Makes the Roland WM-1 Special?
The WM-1 removes long MIDI cable runs from a setup while retaining the responsive performance musicians expect from a wired connection. Simply connect its MIDI IN and OUT plugs to a compatible instrument and establish a wireless connection with supported equipment. MIDI notes, controller information, tempo sync, effects data, LFO information and other MIDI messages can then be transmitted wirelessly.
Standard Mode supports more flexible multi-device setups, while Fast Mode reduces latency to approximately 3mswhen communicating with another compatible WM-series device. With around 60 hours of operation from a single AAA alkaline battery, the WM-1 is equally practical for studio, stage and mobile setups.
Who Is It For?
The Roland WM-1 is ideal for keyboard players, synthesiser users, electronic musicians, producers and performerswho want to reduce MIDI cabling between compatible equipment.
It is particularly useful for connecting traditional hardware with 5-pin MIDI ports to compatible Mac or iOS music applications, or for creating wireless connections between instruments equipped with additional Roland WM-series adaptors.
