Quick Product Summary
The Schecter C-1 FR S SLS Elite Evil Twin in Satin Black is a premium high-performance electric guitar designed for demanding modern players. Its neck-thru construction, swamp ash body, reinforced multi-ply neck and ebony fingerboard combine with an Ultra Thin "C" profile and 24 stainless-steel X-Jumbo frets to create an exceptionally fast and precise playing platform.
Electronics pair a powerful Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic bridge humbucker with a Sustainiac neck system, giving players everything from articulate modern high-gain tones to near-infinite sustain and controllable harmonic feedback. A Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo adds extensive pitch control, making the Evil Twin particularly suited to metal, progressive music and technically demanding lead playing.

What Makes the Schecter C-1 FR S SLS Elite Evil Twin Special?
The Evil Twin takes Schecter's already performance-focused SLS Elite platform and gives it a darker visual identity alongside specialist electronics. The swamp ash body and neck-thru multi-ply maple, walnut and padauk neck create a premium construction, while carbon-fibre reinforcement rods add further neck stability. An ebony fingerboard with a 12"-16" compound radius, Roman numeral inlays and 24 X-Jumbo stainless-steel frets provides a smooth and durable playing surface that becomes progressively flatter towards the upper register.
Its electronics are equally sophisticated. The Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic bridge humbucker delivers tight lows, detailed attack and powerful modern tones, while the Sustainiac dramatically extends natural note sustain and provides selectable harmonic behaviour. Combined with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo, the C-1 FR S SLS Elite Evil Twin gives expressive lead players an unusually broad range of tonal and pitch-control possibilities.
Who Is It For?
The Schecter C-1 FR S SLS Elite Evil Twin is aimed at serious guitarists who want premium modern specifications and specialist features rather than a traditional stripped-back electric guitar.
It is particularly well suited to:
-
Modern metal guitarists
-
Progressive and technical players
-
Hard-rock musicians
-
Lead guitarists using extensive tremolo techniques
-
Players who use sustained feedback creatively
-
Guitarists who prefer an Ultra Thin neck
-
Players who value stainless-steel frets
-
Musicians requiring excellent upper-fret access
-
Studio and recording guitarists
-
Advanced and professional players
Why Choose A Sustainiac & Floyd Rose Equipped Guitar?
A Sustainiac system uses electromagnetic feedback to keep a string vibrating, allowing a note to continue far beyond its normal natural decay. Different modes can emphasise the fundamental note or introduce harmonics, making it particularly effective for soaring leads, controlled feedback, atmospheric textures and experimental sounds.
Combining this with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo opens up even more expressive possibilities. Sustained notes can be raised, lowered and manipulated with the tremolo arm, allowing techniques ranging from subtle vibrato to dramatic dive bombs and harmonic effects.

FAQs
What does FR S mean on the Schecter C-1 SLS Elite Evil Twin?
FR refers to the Floyd Rose locking tremolo, while the S denotes the Sustainiac-equipped version of the guitar.
What pickup is fitted at the bridge?
The guitar uses a Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker with a ceramic magnet in the bridge position.
What does the Sustainiac do?
The Sustainiac can electronically maintain string vibration to create dramatically extended sustain, controlled feedback and harmonic effects.
What Sustainiac modes are available?
The guitar provides Fundamental, Mix and Harmonic modes, allowing different types of sustained response and harmonic emphasis.
Does it have stainless-steel frets?
Yes. It features 24 X-Jumbo stainless-steel frets, offering excellent wear resistance and a smooth surface for bends and vibrato.
What is a compound-radius fingerboard?
The ebony fingerboard changes from 12" at the lower frets to 16" higher up the neck. This provides comfortable chord playing lower down while creating a flatter surface for bends and fast lead work higher up.
What is the neck profile?
The guitar uses Schecter's Ultra Thin "C" profile, one of its fastest and most streamlined neck shapes.
Is the guitar neck-thru?
Yes. It features neck-thru construction with Ultra Access, helping provide smooth access to all 24 frets.
What is the body made from?
The body wings are made from swamp ash, surrounding the neck-through centre section.

What can the Floyd Rose be used for?
It allows extensive pitch manipulation including dive bombs, pitch raises, flutters and expressive vibrato while using a locking bridge and nut arrangement.
Does it have glow-in-the-dark fret markers?
Yes. The guitar features glow-in-the-dark side dot markers, particularly useful on dark stages.
Is it suitable for metal?
Absolutely. The Fishman Fluence bridge pickup, fast Ultra Thin neck, stainless-steel frets and Floyd Rose make it exceptionally well equipped for modern metal, progressive and technically demanding high-gain playing.
Can it do more than high-gain sounds?
Yes. The Fishman Fluence system and Sustainiac provide a broad range of textures, making the guitar equally interesting for ambient, progressive and experimental playing alongside its obvious metal capabilities.
How does this differ from the standard C-1 SLS Elite Evil Twin?
The FR S version adds the Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo and Sustainiac neck system. The standard C-1 SLS Elite Evil Twin uses a hardtail bridge and a Fishman Fluence Modern neck humbucker instead.
Does it come with a hard case?
No. The compatible Schecter SGR-1C C-Shape Hardcase is available separately.
