What Makes the Schecter C-1 Standard Plus Special?

The C-1 Standard Plus takes Schecter’s established C-1 platform and combines it with a specification that feels considerably more premium than a conventional entry-level electric guitar. The mahogany body and flamed maple topcreate a striking foundation for the Ember Burst finish, while the three-piece roasted maple neck and ebony fingerboard give this particular colour variant a distinctive combination of materials. Schecter’s Thin “C” profile, 14" radius and 24 jumbo frets provide a modern feel suited to both substantial rhythm work and faster lead techniques.

The electronics are deliberately straightforward. Two Schecter Richter-6 humbuckers with black covers provide strong output and definition without complicated switching, controlled by master volume, master tone and a three-way pickup selector. Combined with the Schecter Diamond hardtail bridge, the result is an easy-to-use guitar that can comfortably move from clean passages and crunchy rock tones to heavier, high-gain sounds.

Who Is It For?

The Schecter C-1 Standard Plus is an excellent choice for developing and intermediate players buying their first serious performance guitar, as well as experienced guitarists looking for a versatile hardtail instrument with distinctive styling.

Its dual-humbucker configuration and modern neck dimensions make it especially well suited to rock, hard rock, alternative and metal, while the neck pickup and middle selector position offer useful options for cleaner sounds, melodic playing and general recording work.

Why Choose A Modern Hardtail Electric Guitar?

A hardtail bridge offers simplicity, consistency and straightforward maintenance. Players who do not require tremolo effects can avoid the additional setup involved with a floating bridge, making restringing and general adjustment easier.

This is particularly useful for guitarists who regularly move between different playing environments or simply want an instrument that can be picked up and played without unnecessary complication. Combined with powerful humbuckers and a 24-fret neck, the C-1 Standard Plus delivers modern performance without excessive hardware.

How Does It Compare?

Compared With The Schecter C-1 Standard

The C-1 Standard Plus moves the formula towards a more premium specification, with Richter-6 humbuckers and upgraded material and finish choices. The Ember Burst version is especially distinctive thanks to its flamed maple-topped mahogany body, roasted maple neck and ebony fingerboard.

Compared With A Floyd Rose-Equipped Schecter

A Floyd Rose-equipped guitar offers dramatic pitch effects but requires a more involved setup. The C-1 Standard Plus uses a Schecter Diamond hardtail bridge, making it the more straightforward option for players who prioritise easy maintenance and a fixed playing platform over tremolo effects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Schecter C-1 Standard Plus suitable for metal?

What pickups are fitted?

Are the pickups active?

No. The Richter-6 pickups are passive humbuckers, so the guitar does not require a battery for normal operation.

Does the C-1 Standard Plus have coil splitting?

No. This model keeps the electronics straightforward with master volume, master tone and a three-way pickup selector.

Is the neck roasted maple?

Yes. The guitar features a three-piece roasted maple neck.

What fingerboard does the Ember Burst model have?

The Ember Burst version specifically features an ebony fingerboard with a 14" radius.

Does it have 24 frets?

Yes. The C-1 Standard Plus has 24 jumbo frets, providing a full two-octave fretting range on each string.

Schecter uses its Thin “C” profile, measuring approximately 20mm at the first fret and 22mm at the twelfth. It provides a modern feel without becoming excessively slim.

Does it have a flamed maple top?

Yes. The guitar combines a mahogany body with a flamed maple top, with the Ember Burst finish allowing the figuring to remain clearly visible.

What is Ultra Access?

Does it have a tremolo?

No. The C-1 Standard Plus uses a Schecter Diamond hardtail bridge, providing a stable fixed-bridge setup.

The guitar has a 25.5" scale length, providing familiar string tension for modern rhythm and lead playing.

What strings are fitted from the factory?
