What Makes the Schecter C-1 Standard Plus Special?
The C-1 Standard Plus takes Schecter’s established C-1 platform and gives it a distinctive combination of traditional tonewoods and modern playing features. The mahogany body and flamed maple top create an attractive foundation for the Trans Black Burst finish, while the flat top incorporates a forearm comfort contour for easier playing during longer sessions. Black binding provides a clean visual outline around the body.
The three-piece roasted maple Thin “C” neck is paired with a matching roasted maple fingerboard, 14" radius and 24 jumbo frets for a distinctly contemporary feel. Dual Schecter Richter-6 humbuckers keep the electronics powerful but uncomplicated, while the Diamond hardtail bridge provides the stable fixed-bridge platform many rhythm players and recording guitarists prefer.
Who Is It For?
The Schecter C-1 Standard Plus is an excellent choice for developing, intermediate and experienced guitarists who want a serious modern six-string without complicated electronics or tremolo hardware.
Its dual-humbucker configuration makes it especially well suited to rock, hard rock, alternative and metal, while the neck pickup and combined pickup setting provide useful options for cleaner passages, melodic playing and more general-purpose recording.
Why Choose A Modern Hardtail Electric Guitar?
A hardtail guitar provides a straightforward, dependable setup without the additional adjustment associated with a floating tremolo. Restringing and tuning changes are generally easier, making a fixed bridge particularly practical for players who regularly switch tunings or simply prefer a low-maintenance instrument.
Combined with a 24-fret neck and powerful humbuckers, the C-1 Standard Plus provides plenty of modern performance capability while remaining easy to understand and maintain.
How Does It Compare?
Compared With The Ember Burst C-1 Standard Plus
Both guitars share the same core C-1 Standard Plus concept, but the Trans Black Burst version uses a roasted maple fingerboard, giving it a noticeably different visual character from the Ember Burst version with its darker ebony board. The Trans Black Burst also pairs particularly well with its Satin Chrome pickup covers and hardware.
Compared With A Floyd Rose-Equipped Schecter
A Floyd Rose-equipped guitar provides dramatic pitch control but requires a more involved setup. The C-1 Standard Plus uses a Schecter Diamond hardtail bridge, making it a more straightforward choice for players who prioritise easy maintenance, tuning changes and fixed-bridge stability.
