Schecter C-6 Plus Ocean Blue Burst Electric Guitar
Description
Quick Product Summary
The Schecter C-6 Plus in Ocean Blue Burst is an accessible modern electric guitar combining striking looks, powerful dual-humbucker tones and comfortable Schecter playability. Its lightweight basswood body features a quilted maple-effect top beneath the transparent blue burst finish, giving the guitar a premium appearance without moving into a significantly higher price bracket.
A bolt-on maple Thin “C” neck, rosewood fingerboard and 24 X-Jumbo frets make the C-6 Plus comfortable for chords, riffs and lead work, while a pair of Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers provides the output and fullness needed for rock and metal. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body construction keeps the hardware simple and stable, making this a strong choice for developing players, home recording and live use.

What Makes the Schecter C-6 Plus Special?
The C-6 Plus gives players many of the design characteristics associated with Schecter’s performance guitars in an accessible, straightforward package. The Ocean Blue Burst finish is paired with a quilted maple image treatment, creating the look of figured maple while retaining the lightweight basswood body underneath. Its flat top with bevelled edges provides a comfortable modern feel, while chrome hardware adds a clean contrast to the deep blue finish.
Playability is equally important. Schecter’s Thin “C” maple neck measures approximately 20mm at the first fret and 22mm at the twelfth, while the 14" radius rosewood fingerboard and 24 X-Jumbo frets provide a relatively flat, modern surface suited to both rhythm and lead playing. Dual Diamond Plus humbuckers complete a simple, effective specification capable of handling everything from clean practice tones to heavily driven rock and metal sounds.
Who Is It For?
The Schecter C-6 Plus is particularly well suited to beginners, developing guitarists and intermediate players looking for a modern electric guitar with enough specification to remain useful as their technique progresses.
Its dual-humbucker layout makes it an especially natural choice for rock, hard rock, metal and alternative music, while the straightforward controls and fixed bridge also make it practical for home practice, recording and regular gigging.
Why Choose A Dual-Humbucker Hardtail Guitar?
Humbuckers provide a fuller, thicker sound than many traditional single-coil pickups and naturally reject much of the electrical hum that can become noticeable when using higher-gain amplifier settings. This makes an HH guitar particularly useful for overdrive and distortion.
A fixed bridge also keeps the instrument simple to maintain. Without a floating tremolo mechanism, restringing, tuning changes and general setup adjustments are typically more straightforward, making the C-6 Plus an excellent everyday guitar.
How Does It Compare?
Compared With The Schecter C-6 Deluxe
The C-6 Deluxe focuses on straightforward solid-colour styling, while the C-6 Plus adds the more decorative quilted maple-effect appearance. Both retain the accessible modern Schecter feel, making the Plus particularly attractive to players who want a more visually distinctive instrument.
Compared With The Omen-6
Both guitars use a 25.5" scale, dual Schecter humbuckers and fixed bridge construction. The C-6 Plus has a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic with its figured-effect top, while the Omen-6 adopts the darker Gothic styling associated with Schecter’s Omen family.
