Quick Product Summary
The Schecter C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin in Satin Black is a premium seven-string electric guitar built for players who demand extended range, exceptional speed and highly versatile modern tones. Its 26.5" scale helps keep the low seventh string tight and articulate, while a swamp ash body and multi-ply Maple/Walnut/Padauk neck-through construction provide a responsive platform with excellent upper-fret access.
Dual Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers combine a Ceramic bridge pickup with an Alnico neck pickup, delivering powerful high-gain sounds alongside alternative selectable voicings. Add an ebony compound-radius fingerboard, 24 X-Jumbo stainless-steel frets, Hipshot hardtail bridge and Schecter locking tuners, and the result is a formidable instrument for modern metal, progressive music, technical playing and demanding studio work.

What Makes the Schecter C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin Special?
The C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin combines Schecter’s extended-range expertise with one of its fastest and most refined neck designs. Its Maple/Walnut/Padauk multi-ply neck runs continuously through the swamp ash body and incorporates carbon-fibre reinforcement rods for additional stability. The Ultra Thin “C” profile measures approximately 19mm at the first fret and 20mm at the twelfth, while the 12"-16" compound-radius ebony fingerboard and 24 X-Jumbo stainless-steel frets provide an exceptionally smooth playing surface.
Its dual Fishman Fluence Modern pickups give the guitar a much wider tonal range than a conventional high-output HH setup. The Ceramic bridge pickup provides tight attack and powerful rhythm definition, while the Alnico neck pickup delivers a smoother, fuller response for lead work and cleans. Push/pull controls access alternative Fluence voicings, allowing the C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin to move between contemporary high-gain sounds and more open, dynamic tones.
Who Is It For?
The Schecter C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin is aimed primarily at intermediate, advanced and professional guitarists who want a premium seven-string with a fast neck, fixed bridge and sophisticated multi-voice electronics.
It is particularly well suited to modern metal, progressive metal, djent, technical metal, instrumental guitar and lower tunings, although the Fishman voice options give it enough flexibility for clean passages, ambient sounds and less aggressive styles.
Why Choose A 26.5" 7-String Guitar?
A seven-string guitar adds an additional low string beneath the familiar six-string range, creating access to deeper riffs and wider chord voicings without sacrificing the standard guitar register.
The C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin uses a 26.5" scale length, providing extra tension compared with a typical 25.5" six-string. This helps the seventh string remain tighter and better defined, particularly when using substantial gain or tuning below standard seven-string pitch.
How Does It Compare?
Compared With The C-1 SLS Elite Evil Twin
The C-1 version uses a conventional six-string layout and 25.5" scale. The C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin adds a seventh string and extends the scale to 26.5", making it the stronger choice for players who want deeper range and greater low-string tension.
Both retain the premium neck-through construction, stainless-steel frets, Fishman Fluence electronics and Hipshot hardtail design associated with the SLS Elite Evil Twin series.
Compared With A Multiscale C-7
A multiscale seven-string varies scale length across the strings to balance tension between the bass and treble sides. The C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin instead uses a consistent 26.5" scale with conventional straight frets, making it an excellent option for players who want extended-range tension while retaining a familiar fret layout.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Schecter C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin a seven-string guitar?
Yes. It has seven strings and an extended 26.5" scale length, providing additional low-register range while retaining the familiar upper six strings.
Is it suitable for metal?
Yes. Its Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, extended scale, fixed bridge and fast neck make it particularly well suited to modern metal, progressive metal and other high-gain styles.
What pickups are fitted?
The bridge position features a Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic humbucker, while the neck uses a Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico humbucker.
Do the pickups have multiple voices?
Yes. The Fishman Fluence system offers selectable alternative voicings, accessed through the push/pull controls.
Are the pickups active?
The Fluence system uses powered electronics and requires a 9V battery.
Why does it have a 26.5" scale?
The longer scale provides additional tension and definition on the lower strings, particularly the seventh string. This makes the guitar particularly effective for low-register riffs and lowered tunings.
Is the C-7 SLS Elite Evil Twin multiscale?
No. This model uses conventional straight frets and a consistent 26.5" scale across all seven strings.
Does it have stainless-steel frets?
Yes. The guitar features 24 X-Jumbo stainless-steel frets, providing a smooth feel and excellent resistance to long-term fret wear.
What is the neck profile like?
The C-7 uses Schecter’s exceptionally slim Ultra Thin “C” profile, measuring approximately 19mm at the first fret and 20mm at the twelfth.
What is a compound-radius fingerboard?
The fingerboard gradually changes from a 12" radius near the nut to a flatter 16" radius higher up the neck. This balances comfortable lower-register playing with a flatter upper section suited to bends and technical lead work.
Is the guitar neck-through?
Yes. The Maple/Walnut/Padauk multi-ply neck runs continuously through the body and features Schecter Ultra Accessshaping for excellent upper-fret reach.
Does the neck have carbon-fibre reinforcement?
Yes. Carbon-fibre reinforcement rods are incorporated into the neck construction to provide additional structural stability.
Does it have locking tuners?
Yes. Schecter locking tuners are fitted as standard, providing secure string attachment and helping make string changes quicker.
Does it have a Floyd Rose?
No. The guitar uses a Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-through-body construction.
Why choose the hardtail version?
A fixed bridge makes restringing, alternative tunings and general setup adjustments considerably simpler than on a floating locking tremolo. It is especially useful for rhythm-focused players and musicians who change tunings regularly.
What are the fingerboard inlays?
The Evil Twin version features distinctive Roman numeral inlays, complemented by glow-in-the-dark side markers.
What strings are fitted from the factory?
The factory seven-string set uses gauges .009, .011, .016, .026, .036, .046 and .062.
Does the guitar require a battery?
Yes. The Fishman Fluence electronics require a 9V battery.
Is a hardcase included?
No. The compatible Schecter SGR-1C C-Shape Guitar Hardcase, model 1620, is available separately.
