The Schecter Omen Extreme-5 in Black Cherry is a five-string electric bass constructed with a mahogany body and an arched flamed maple top, finished to highlight the natural figuring of the wood. This combination provides a resonant platform with strong sustain and a balanced tonal response, supported by a Diamond bass bridge and black chrome hardware. Crème multi-ply binding outlines the body, adding visual definition to the instrument’s contours while maintaining a traditional bolt-on construction with a six-bolt neck joint.

The neck is made from maple with a Thin “C” profile and is paired with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 24 extra-jumbo frets and abalone and pearloid vector inlays. A 35″ scale length and 16″ fingerboard radius contribute to consistent string tension and clarity across all five strings. The neck is fitted with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Schecter tuning machines, supporting tuning stability and smooth playability across the full register of the instrument.

Electronics consist of dual Schecter Diamond Bass pickups using ceramic magnets, designed in a dual-coil format for low noise and strong output. The control layout includes volume, blend, treble, and bass controls powered by a 9-volt active circuit, allowing detailed tonal shaping from deep low frequencies to clear high-end definition. The bass is fitted with Ernie Ball super long scale strings and a clip-in battery compartment, completing a specification focused on modern performance and versatility.
