Quick Product Summary

The Schecter Stargazer-6 in Gloss Black combines distinctive retro-inspired styling with the playability and versatility expected from a modern Schecter electric guitar. Its mahogany body, three-piece maple neck and maple fingerboard create a responsive platform, while the 25.5" scale, Thin “C” neck profile and 22 jumbo frets make it equally comfortable for rhythm work, melodic playing and expressive lead techniques.

A pair of Schecter USA SuperRock Vintage humbuckers provides everything from warm, rounded cleans to powerful rock tones, with a push/pull coil-split function adding brighter single-coil-style sounds. TonePros hardware, independent pickup volume controls and classic chrome appointments make the Stargazer-6 an excellent choice for players who want something visually distinctive without sacrificing everyday versatility.

What Makes the Schecter Stargazer-6 Special?

The Stargazer-6 stands apart from Schecter’s more aggressive modern designs with a distinctive offset-inspired appearance and classic Gloss Black and chrome aesthetic. Underneath the retro styling is a highly playable specification, including a three-piece maple Thin “C” neck, 14" radius maple fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets. The 25.5" scale provides familiar string tension and a responsive feel for chords, riffs, bends and lead work.

Its Schecter USA SuperRock Vintage humbuckers are central to the Stargazer’s appeal. Designed to deliver a broad range of usable tones, they can move from warm neck-pickup sounds to articulate bridge crunch without becoming limited to one style of music. Independent pickup volume controls provide additional blending options, while the push/pull coil split adds brighter textures when a full humbucker sound is not required.

Who Is It For?

The Schecter Stargazer-6 is ideal for guitarists who want an instrument with individual character rather than another conventional double-cut or single-cut design. Its combination of vintage-influenced looks and contemporary playability makes it particularly appealing to players working in rock, indie, alternative, blues, pop and experimental styles.

It is also a strong choice for intermediate and advanced guitarists who need one instrument to cover a varied set. The dual humbuckers provide plenty of body and output for driven sounds, while coil splitting increases its usefulness for cleaner rhythm parts and more articulate textures.

Why Choose A Dual-Humbucker Guitar With Coil Splitting?

A traditional dual-humbucker configuration is popular because it provides powerful, full-bodied tones while naturally reducing the unwanted electrical hum associated with traditional single coils. This makes it an excellent choice for overdriven amps, distortion pedals, recording and live performance.

Adding coil splitting increases that flexibility. The Stargazer-6 can retain the weight and warmth of its complete humbuckers when required, then move towards a brighter and more open character using the push/pull control. For players covering multiple styles, this can reduce the need to change guitars between songs.

How Does It Compare?

Compared With A Traditional Vintage-Style Electric Guitar

The Stargazer-6 captures some of the visual character associated with classic and alternative guitar designs but uses a flatter 14" fingerboard radius, jumbo frets and Thin “C” neck profile for a distinctly modern playing experience. It is therefore particularly appealing to players who like vintage aesthetics but prefer contemporary neck dimensions.

Compared With A Modern High-Output Schecter

Players choosing a Schecter specifically for extreme metal may prefer models equipped with hotter pickups, 24 frets or specialist tremolo systems. The Stargazer-6 takes a broader approach, with its SuperRock Vintage humbuckers and coil splitting making it better suited to players who prioritise tonal versatility across clean, crunch and driven sounds.
