Detailed Features & Benefits
Classic Big Muff Pi Tone
Electro-Harmonix designed the Nano Big Muff Pi to deliver the same fundamental sound as the classic NYC Big Muff Pi, retaining its thick low end, rich distortion and smooth sustaining character while reducing the enclosure size.
Singing Sustain
The Sustain control determines the amount of distortion and sustain, allowing the pedal to move from relatively restrained fuzz through to heavily compressed, harmonically rich lead tones with long note decay.
Flexible Tone Control
The Tone control shifts the balance between bass and treble. Lower settings produce a darker, heavier response, while higher settings emphasise upper frequencies for a brighter and more cutting fuzz sound.
Compact Nano Enclosure
The smaller enclosure makes the Nano Big Muff Pi considerably easier to integrate into modern pedalboards than the traditional larger Big Muff chassis.
True Bypass
When switched off, the pedal uses true bypass to remove the effect circuit from the signal path.
Who Is It For?
The Nano Big Muff Pi is ideal for guitarists looking for big, saturated fuzz tones with plenty of sustain in a compact format.
It works particularly well for rock, alternative, grunge, indie, psychedelic, shoegaze, stoner rock and lead guitar, while lower Sustain settings can also provide thicker distortion textures for rhythm playing.

Can it be used for psychedelic guitar?
Yes. Its saturated fuzz and sustained response work particularly well with delay, reverb, phaser and other modulation effects.

How much current does it draw?
Current consumption is approximately 3mA.
What power supply does it require?
It can use a suitable 9V DC centre-negative pedal power supply.
Is a power supply included?
