1950s Arnold Hoyer “Herr im Frack” in Black, (Used)
The 1950s Arnold Hoyer “Herr im Frack” is a vintage hollow-body archtop guitar made by Arnold Hoyer in Erlangen, Germany. It has a carved spruce top, laminate maple back and sides, paired with a maple neck. The fingerboard is rosewood, bound, and features full-width position markers rather than individual dots. The scale length is approximately 628 mm.
The guitar includes a nickel-plated trapeze tailpiece, an adjustable metal bridge and open-back strip tuners with cream plastic buttons. The headstock is bound and bears the “Arnold Hoyer Herr im Frack” name, and the body has F-holes and a small round soundhole near the end of the fingerboard.
Finished in black with binding around the body and headstock, the Herr im Frack presents a strong vintage aesthetic.
