The Cream T Billy F Gibbons Whiskerbucker is a hand-wound humbucker pickup designed as an exact electronic reproduction of the original pickups found in Billy Gibbons’ 1959 Les Paul, often referred to as “Pearly Gates.” It is part of Cream T’s Super Scanner series, created using analogue spectrum recording to mirror the electrical characteristics and frequency response of the original vintage unit. The pickup is intended for standard humbucker mounting positions and is available as individual bridge or neck units as well as matched sets.

The pickup features a vintage-style output level, with the bridge version measuring approximately 8.2 kΩ DC resistance and the neck version around 8.3 kΩ, depending on configuration. Standard construction includes potted coils, nickel covers, and two-conductor wiring, with optional four-conductor wiring available for advanced switching setups. These specifications are designed to replicate the electrical behaviour and response of the original late-1950s humbuckers.

The pickup is manufactured using traditional boutique winding methods and calibrated measurement equipment to ensure accurate resistance readings and consistent reproduction of the original design characteristics.
