Birmingham’s Best Piano Store
In an ever-increasing digital age, it’s important to remember the physical world. It cannot be overstated how much coming in and trying an instrument for yourself can help. While reviews help get a basic understanding of how an instrument performs, nothing beats trying out an instrument for yourself to see if it suits you.
In that regard, we have several reasons for you to visit our store, including our extensive range and expertise. We have over 50 years of experience in our piano department, a wealth of experience we want to share with you.
To start with, we have our top 5 best sellers in the shop to hopefully give you a few reasons to pop down and see what all the fuss is about. We have the largest showroom in the West Midlands and plenty of other models for you to try out, so don’t hesitate to come down and try out an instrument for yourself.
Best Selling Pianos
Starting this list is the Roland FP-10, a brilliant, compact, and lightweight keyboard. The first of our portable options on this list, with a full 88 keys, realistic keyboard action, and a great sound, it is a great value for money and an excellent beginner keyboard with a high enough ceiling for intermediate players.
The Yamaha P-145BT is another compact option, great for the gigging musicians or those short on space at home. The P-145BT has a good key action and Bluetooth functionality. This couples nicely with Yamaha’s app that works in combination with this keyboard to help elevate your playing, which would suit a beginner piano player well, with room to grow once again.
The Roland FP-30x is our best-selling portable keyboard, and rightly so. This piano is ready to go for any professional. Bursting with so many sounds for you to try out and at a price that won’t break the bank, we think this one is an absolute winner.
Next, the Yamaha YDP-145. With authentic piano sound as well as 10 distinct voices, and Yamaha’s handy app, this is a perfect choice for those looking to relax and improve their play at home. With a built-in feature that adjusts the sound balance based on volume, you can play this piano for hours on end with dulcet sounds we are sure you’ll love.
The Roland HP704 is our last but certainly not least is one of the best home pianos on the market. Boasting a wooden construction and 4 speakers, this piano creates a lovely, resonant tone that will brighten any room. One piano you need to hear to believe. This piano is more suited to an intermediate to advanced player to get the most out of it.
A Deeper Dive
While our top dogs may be Yamaha and Roland, we also stock other brands too such as Korg and Nord too to offer you different ways to find your unique sound. We also stock a whole host of different ranges of pianos from beginner keyboards up to grand pianos. Variety is the spice of life after all, and having the largest piano showroom in the West Midlands certainly does help!
For example, if you’re a beginner, you might look at something like the Roland FP-10 or the Arius range from Yamaha. These pianos are certainly more than capable and, at a lower price point, can be very appealing; however, with our range of used pianos, you can push into those more intermediate price points and get some really good pianos for a fraction of the cost. For example, we had a Roland KR-777 Digital Grand Piano get traded into the shop the other day, and while ne,w these would price out a lot of beginners, it being second-hand meant it could go to a loving home to be enjoyed for many years to come. So if you’re looking to upgrade or perhaps even trade in, make sure to check out our used pianos too!
Final Note
So dear reader, thank you for taking the time to read this little blog about some of the best pianos you can buy, as well as a few reasons as to why you should check out our gorgeous showroom. With so many places shutting down these days, we don’t want this to be a doom-and-gloom read. If we don’t use these spaces, we will lose them. I remember walking around so many music shops as a young kid as just getting lost and wanting to try out all the instruments. I think it was a very formative experience for me and shaped who I am today and why I’m so passionate about music, and why I want to pass that on to someone else in the hopes that they, too, can get the gift of music.
