A Different Discovery Every Time
Perhaps it is a used Fender with the finish you love, a Gibson you have always wanted to own, or a characterful acoustic that opens up a new way of playing. It could just as easily be a pedal, amplifier or keyboard that brings your whole setup to life.
Pre-loved gear gives you the chance to explore discontinued specifications, distinctive finishes and models outside the current new range. It can also put a higher-specification instrument within your budget. Not every find is vintage or rare; sometimes it is simply the right instrument at a fair price.
At Fair Deal Music, we have been helping musicians make those discoveries since 1987. We are independent, family-run and based in Birmingham, with a team ready to talk through the details before you decide.
A Few Finds. A World of Possibilities.

Browse the collection, and bookmark it for your next visit. Many finds are one-offs — once they’re gone, they’re gone.

How to Choose Your Next Pre-Loved Instrument
- Know what matters to you. Set your budget and decide which features, sounds or specifications will make you want to play.
- Get to know the individual instrument. Read its condition description, inspect the photographs and check which case or accessories are included. Two examples of the same model can be quite different.
- Ask before you buy. Need more detail about wear, weight or suitability? Our team is happy to help. Check availability before travelling to try a particular instrument.
- Check the practical details. Review delivery, returns and any applicable warranty information. Finance may be available on selected qualifying purchases.
Every pre-loved instrument is individually assessed before sale. We want you to feel comfortable with your choice, whether you shop online or visit us in Birmingham.
If a find ticks your boxes, take a closer look while it is available. Another example may arrive, but its finish, condition, specification and price could be different.
Buy • Sell • Trade: Make Room for Your Next Chapter
The instrument you no longer play could help fund the one you cannot stop thinking about. We consider musical instruments and equipment for direct purchase and part exchange, with offers depending on condition and suitability.
