Why is there a large variety of drums available?
The choice of drum, make, and style is influenced by several factors, including musical genre, performance setting, and personal preference. Jazz drummers could require more responsive kits that allow for subtle nuances in their playing, while rock drummers might choose larger kits with deeper, more resonant bass drums for that powerful impact.
Drums for Everyone
The appeal of drums extends beyond professional musicians or those in bands. For learners and individuals seeking a new hobby, drums offer a unique combination of physical activity, mental discipline, and creative expression. Playing the drums can be a powerful stress reliever, and offering a fun way to learn a new skill.
What types of drums are available?
Acoustic Drum Kits
The more traditional option, Acoustic Drum Kits are the best way to learn or perform. Acoustic drum kits give players the basics, with the options to add more drums and cymbals when needed. As they are much louder than electric kits, there have been some developments to make quieter ones for practicing.
Natal DNA Stealth Drum Kit
Drum kits take up a lot of space, and can be really annoying for neighbours. The Natal DNA Stealth Drum Kit is low profile, and designed to be low volume. When practicing, you need the ability to play freely, which also means play with no restrictions. The reduced volume made with mesh heads keep the sound down without compromising on your playing style.
Electronic Drum Kits
Not normally used in performances, electronic drum kits are great recording and practice. Most electric drum kits have headphone sockets so you can practice without disturbing others around you, or directly record to your favourite DAWS software.
Roland Td-27kv2 V-drums Electronic Drum Kit
A more expressive drum kit, for the more enthusiastic drummer, the Roland Td-27kv2 V-drums Electronic Drum Kit offers a full suite of sounds. You can record up 28 channels of audio through a single USB connection, with the flexibility to easily transport the kit to where you need it.
Roland Td-17kv2 V-drums Electronic Drum Kit
Do you need a drum kit that takes up less space? The Roland Td-17kv2 V-drums Electronic Drum Kit is an elegant cross between quality and space saving. You get the unique sound and feel of Roland, without losing an entire room.
Drum Hardware and Accessories
Cymbal washers
Cymbals bring a performance together; they need to be crystal clear. Cymbal washers are used to reduce unwanted noise and vibrations, to give a purer sound. The Cympad Foam Cymbal Washers - Chromatics Pack Green comes with 5 brightly coloured chromatics that give you unrivalled sound quality.
Cymbal Stands
Adding additional cymbals to your drum kit allows for more texture in your music. You need a cymbal stand to match. The Natal Boom Cymbal Stand - Standard Series M-H-ST-BS is lightweight, which makes it perfect for gigging.
