Epiphone Sheraton Natural Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, (Used)
Description
The Epiphone Sheraton in Natural is a classic semi-hollow electric guitar built around one of Epiphone’s most recognisable designs, combining a large double-cutaway body, dual humbuckers and ornate detailing with the warmth and resonance of semi-hollow construction.
Its centre-block design gives the guitar more sustain and feedback resistance than a fully hollow instrument, while retaining the open, lively response that makes this style of guitar so appealing for blues, rock, soul, jazz, indie and cleaner rhythm work.
This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, weighs an actual 8.1 lbs, and includes a hardcase.
This guitar has also been modified with chicken-head control knobs, and the output jack has been routed into the front of the guitar and fitted with a Strat-style jack plate.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
The Sheraton has long appealed to players who want more visual presence and acoustic character than a standard solid-body guitar without moving to a fully hollow design.
Its semi-hollow construction gives chords and clean tones a broad, resonant quality, while the centre block helps keep the response focused when using overdrive or playing at higher volume.
The dual-humbucker layout also makes the Sheraton far more versatile than its vintage-inspired appearance might suggest, with enough warmth for jazz and blues, enough clarity for clean rhythm work and enough output for rock and driven tones.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
Semi-Hollow Construction
The Sheraton uses a semi-hollow body with a solid centre section running through the guitar. This provides a useful balance between hollow-body resonance and the sustain, stability and feedback resistance of a solid-body design.
Natural Finish
The Natural finish highlights the body construction and gives the guitar a traditional, elegant appearance that works particularly well with the Sheraton’s decorative binding and gold hardware.
Dual Humbuckers
Two humbucking pickups provide a broad tonal range, from warmer neck-pickup sounds through to a more focused bridge response for rhythm and lead playing.
Traditional Control Layout
Separate Volume and Tone controls for each pickup allow the guitar to be balanced in detail, while the 3-way selector gives quick access to neck, combined and bridge pickup settings.
24.75" Scale Length
The traditional 24.75" scale length gives the Sheraton a slightly softer string feel than longer-scale guitars, making bends and vibrato comfortable while retaining good tension for rhythm playing.
Decorative Sheraton Styling
Multi-ply binding, elaborate fingerboard inlays and ornate headstock decoration are defining features of the Sheraton design and give it a more premium visual character than simpler semi-hollow models.
Chicken-Head Knob Modification
The original-style control knobs have been replaced with chicken-head knobs, giving this particular example a more distinctive visual appearance and making control positions easy to see at a glance.
Strat-Style Front Jack Modification
The guitar has been routed at the front of the body to accommodate a Strat-style jack plate. This moves the output connection to a front-mounted angled position rather than the standard Sheraton jack arrangement.
8.1 lbs Actual Weight
This individual guitar weighs an actual 8.1 lbs, giving buyers a precise indication of how this specific instrument will feel.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Epiphone Sheraton is particularly well suited to blues, rock, soul, jazz, indie, alternative and classic-rock players who want the warmth of a semi-hollow guitar with enough versatility for a broad range of amplified styles.
It is also a strong option for players who want something more visually distinctive than a standard solid-body electric.
This particular example may especially appeal to players who are comfortable with modified guitars and value functionality and individuality over completely standard factory presentation.
PLAYING STYLES & APPLICATIONS
The Sheraton works particularly well for blues, jazz, soul, classic rock, indie, alternative, pop and clean rhythm playing.
The neck pickup suits warmer lead sounds and smoother clean tones, while the bridge pickup provides more attack and definition for rhythm and overdriven playing.
The centre-block construction also makes it considerably more manageable with gain than a fully hollow guitar.
HOW IT COMPARES
Epiphone Sheraton vs ES-335-Style Guitar
Both follow the semi-hollow, centre-block concept, but the Sheraton traditionally adds more elaborate visual appointments, including extensive binding, decorative inlays and gold hardware.
Sheraton vs Fully Hollow Guitar
A fully hollow guitar generally has a more open acoustic response but is more prone to feedback at higher volume. The Sheraton’s centre block gives it greater sustain and makes it easier to use with overdrive.
Sheraton vs Solid-Body Guitar
A solid-body electric generally has a tighter and more focused response, while the Sheraton adds greater acoustic resonance and a more spacious feel.

FAIR DEAL MUSIC EXPERT VERDICT ★★★★★
Best suited for: Players looking for a characterful semi-hollow electric with classic styling, humbucker versatility and a warm, resonant response.
Customers usually upgrade from: Entry-level semi-hollow guitars, Epiphone Dot-style models and more basic dual-humbucker electrics.
Most commonly paired with: Clean and edge-of-breakup valve amplifiers, overdrive, tremolo, delay and reverb effects.
Our tip: This is a modified example, so pay particular attention to the front jack conversion and control layout when viewing the product photographs. The modifications give this guitar its own identity and should be considered part of its individual character.
Showroom feedback: At 8.1 lbs, with a hardcase included and its distinctive control and jack modifications, this is a characterful Pre-Owned Sheraton rather than a standard untouched example.
