Why Choose The Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass Natural MIJ?
Classic 1970s-Style Jazz Bass Character
The JB-75 is inspired by the 1970s Jazz Bass format, giving players the familiar offset body shape, dual-pickup layout and articulate Fender bass voice associated with countless recordings and live performances.
Made in Japan Fender Quality
Fender Japan instruments are highly regarded for their build quality, consistency and strong used-market appeal. A MIJ Jazz Bass is a great option for players who want a genuine Fender with Japanese craftsmanship and vintage-inspired styling.
Natural Finish Appeal
The Natural finish gives this bass a classic 1970s look. It is clean, timeless and especially well suited to players who want a bass with a bold vintage stage presence.
Dual Jazz Bass Pickup Layout
The dual pickup layout gives the JB-75 excellent tonal flexibility. The neck pickup provides warmth and fullness, the bridge pickup adds bite and definition, and blending both gives the familiar scooped Jazz Bass sound.
Passive Electronics
The passive control layout is simple, reliable and easy to use. With two volume controls and a master tone, you can quickly move between warm supportive bass lines, brighter fingerstyle clarity and tighter bridge-pickup definition.
Excellent For Fingerstyle And Pick Playing
The Jazz Bass design works beautifully for both fingerstyle and pick players. It can sound smooth and rounded, bright and articulate, or punchy and direct depending on how you play and how you set the controls.
A Proper Working Bass
This Good condition example is best suited to players who want a Japanese Fender Jazz Bass to use regularly. It has the right mix of Fender character, practical playability and honest pre-owned value.
Comparison Against Popular Alternatives
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender PB-70 Precision Bass
The PB-70 Precision Bass gives a thicker, more direct split-coil sound with simpler controls. The JB-75 Jazz Bass offers more tonal blending, sharper bridge-pickup definition and a more articulate sound.
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender JB-62 Jazz Bass
The JB-62 is inspired by an earlier 1960s-style Jazz Bass format. The JB-75 is better suited to players who prefer the bolder 1970s-style Jazz Bass identity and Natural-finish look.
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender Player Jazz Bass
A Fender Player Jazz Bass offers modern Mexican-made Fender reliability. The JB-75 appeals more to players who want Made in Japan build quality, vintage-inspired styling and older Fender Japan character.
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender American Jazz Bass
An American Jazz Bass sits higher in Fender’s range and usually commands a higher price. The JB-75 offers a compelling Japanese-made alternative with genuine Fender feel and classic Jazz Bass versatility.
Who Is It For?
Jazz Bass Players
This is ideal for bassists who want the clarity, comfort and flexible pickup blending of a classic Jazz Bass.
Fender Japan Enthusiasts
Players who appreciate Japanese-made Fender instruments will find plenty to like here, especially with the JB-75 model identity, Natural finish and MIJ serial.
Funk And Soul Bassists
The Jazz Bass is excellent for articulate fingerstyle playing, tight grooves, melodic bass lines and bridge-pickup definition.
Rock, Pop And Indie Players
The JB-75 works well in band mixes, giving enough punch to hold down rhythm parts while retaining clarity and note separation.
Studio Musicians
A passive Jazz Bass is one of the most useful basses to record because it gives a clear, flexible tone that sits naturally in a mix.
Players Wanting A Used Bass With Character
This Good condition example is well suited to players who want an instrument with visible signs of use and plenty of working-bass appeal.
Why Choose A 1970s-Style Jazz Bass?
A 1970s-style Jazz Bass is a brilliant choice for players who want a brighter, more defined Fender bass voice with plenty of tonal control. The offset body is comfortable, the 34" scale feels familiar, and the dual-pickup setup gives more shaping options than a single-pickup Precision Bass.
The Jazz Bass can be warm and rounded with the neck pickup, tight and articulate with the bridge pickup, or balanced and scooped with both pickups together. That makes it useful across funk, soul, rock, pop, blues, jazz, indie and worship music.
The Fender JB-75 adds Made in Japan appeal and vintage-inspired styling, making it a strong choice for players who want a reliable, characterful Fender bass with classic looks.

Specification Note
The supplied serial number is T094382. Fender’s current Japanese serial-number guidance lists Made in Japan T + 6 digits as associated with 2007–2010, while some wider Fender serial-number guides also reference T + 6 digits as appearing in the mid-1990s. For that reason, the production year should be confirmed from the instrument itself, including the headstock/decal style, neck heel, neck pocket or any accompanying documentation.
Fender Japan JB-75 specifications can vary by production period and model suffix. The supplied details confirm the JB-75 model, Natural finish, Made in Japan origin, serial number, hardcase and Good condition. Exact body wood, fingerboard material, pickup model, nut width, weight, pot dates and factory accessories should be confirmed directly from the bass before making collector-level claims.
Power Requirements
No power supply or battery is required. This is a passive electric bass and only needs a standard 1/4" instrument cable and a suitable bass amplifier, pedalboard, PA system or audio interface.
