Why Choose The Gibson ES-335 Dot Vintage Burst?
Iconic Semi-Hollow Design
The ES-335 is one of Gibson’s most important electric guitar designs. It sits between a solidbody and a hollowbody, giving players warmth, resonance and openness while retaining sustain, focus and feedback control.
Classic Dot-Neck Styling
The dot inlays give this ES-335 a clean, traditional look. It is elegant without being overly ornate, making it a perfect choice for players who want classic Gibson style with understated stage presence.
Vintage Burst Finish
The Vintage Burst finish gives this guitar a timeless ES-335 look. It highlights the shape beautifully and works across almost any musical setting, from blues and jazz to rock and indie.
Dual Humbucker Versatility
The HH pickup layout gives this guitar a broad tonal range. The neck pickup is warm and smooth, the bridge pickup offers bite and focus, and the middle position provides balanced semi-hollow rhythm tones.
Centre-Block Sustain And Control
The centre block gives the ES-335 more sustain and feedback resistance than a fully hollow guitar. This makes it practical for louder stage use, overdrive pedals and classic rock tones while retaining semi-hollow character.
Gibson Hardcase Included
The included Gibson hardcase provides proper protection for storage, transport, rehearsals and gigs.
Excellent Used Condition
This example is listed in Excellent condition, making it a strong option for players who want a clean, dependable pre-owned Gibson rather than a heavily worn example.
Comparison Against Popular Alternatives
Gibson ES-335 Dot vs Gibson Les Paul Standard
A Les Paul Standard has a thicker solidbody voice with more focused sustain. The ES-335 is more open, airy and dynamic, making it especially useful for blues, jazz, soul, indie and expressive clean-to-drive playing.
Gibson ES-335 Dot vs Gibson ES-335 Block Inlay
A block-inlay ES-335 has a slightly more ornate visual style. The Dot model has a cleaner, more understated look that many players prefer for its simplicity and classic identity.
Gibson ES-335 Dot vs Gibson ES-339
An ES-339 offers a smaller semi-hollow body and a more compact feel. The ES-335 delivers the full-size semi-hollow experience, with a wider acoustic response and classic stage presence.
Gibson ES-335 Dot vs Epiphone ES-335
An Epiphone ES-335 offers excellent value and accessible semi-hollow tone. This Gibson ES-335 Dot offers USA-made build quality, stronger used-market appeal and a more premium playing experience.
Who Is It For?
Blues Players
The ES-335 is a legendary blues guitar thanks to its warm neck pickup, vocal sustain and responsive semi-hollow character.

Rock And Indie Players
The centre-block design allows the ES-335 to handle overdrive and stage volume more confidently than a fully hollow guitar.
Studio Musicians
The ES-335 records beautifully because it offers warmth, clarity and body without becoming muddy. It can work as a rhythm guitar, lead voice or textured overdub.

Why Choose A Gibson ES-335?
A Gibson ES-335 is one of the most versatile electric guitars available because it combines the best qualities of a solidbody and a hollowbody. The semi-hollow body adds warmth, depth and acoustic character, while the centre block improves sustain and helps control feedback.

Story & Context: Gibson ES-335 Dot
The Gibson ES-335 has been a cornerstone of electric guitar design since the late 1950s. Its semi-hollow body and centre-block construction created a guitar that could deliver the warmth of a hollowbody while offering the focus, sustain and control needed by electric players.
The Dot version keeps the look clean and classic, with simple dot inlays and traditional Gibson styling. It has been used across blues, jazz, rock, soul, pop and alternative music because it adapts so well to different players and rigs.
