Gibson Les Paul Studio Wine Red Gold Hardware, (Used)
Description
The Gibson USA Les Paul Studio in Wine Red with Gold Hardware delivers the essential construction, sustain and dual-humbucker character of a Les Paul in the more understated Studio format.
Built around the classic combination of a mahogany body, maple top, set mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, the Les Paul Studio focuses on the features that matter most to players while dispensing with much of the decorative binding found on more elaborate Les Paul models.
This particular example looks especially striking in its rich Wine Red finish with gold hardware, giving the traditionally workmanlike Studio design a more luxurious appearance.
This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, weighs an actual 7.82 lbs, and includes a gigbag.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
The Les Paul Studio has long appealed to players who want genuine USA Gibson construction without the additional cosmetic appointments and price associated with models such as the Les Paul Standard.
The mahogany body and neck provide the warmth, sustain and strong midrange associated with the Les Paul design, while the maple top adds extra definition and attack.
At 7.82 lbs, this particular example is also relatively manageable for a Les Paul-style guitar, making it attractive to players who enjoy the sound and feel of a Les Paul but want to avoid an especially heavy instrument.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
Mahogany Body
The mahogany body provides the strong midrange response, warmth and natural sustain that form a major part of the traditional Les Paul sound.
Maple Top
The maple top adds attack and clarity to the naturally warm mahogany body, helping distorted chords and lead lines retain definition.
Wine Red Finish
The Wine Red finish is one of the most recognisable Les Paul Studio colours, giving the guitar a deep, traditional appearance while allowing the wood grain to remain visually prominent.
Gold Hardware
Gold-finished hardware gives this particular Studio a more distinctive and premium appearance than the chrome or nickel hardware found on many standard examples.
Set Mahogany Neck
The glued-in mahogany neck provides the connected feel and sustained response traditionally associated with Gibson single-cutaway guitars.
Rosewood Fingerboard
The rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth and familiar playing surface and complements the traditional mahogany neck construction.
24.75" Scale Length
The classic 24.75" Gibson scale length provides slightly softer string tension than a longer Fender-style scale, making bends and vibrato comfortable.
Dual Humbuckers
The traditional dual-humbucker configuration provides the powerful, full-bodied response associated with Les Paul guitars.
The neck position is ideal for warmer clean and lead tones, while the bridge position provides additional attack for overdriven rhythm and lead playing.
Traditional Control Layout
Separate Volume and Tone controls for each pickup allow the neck and bridge sounds to be adjusted independently.
This also allows contrasting rhythm and lead tones to be prepared and switched instantly with the 3-way selector.
7.82 lbs Actual Weight
This individual guitar weighs an actual 7.82 lbs, giving buyers a precise figure for this specific instrument rather than relying on a generic catalogue weight.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Gibson Les Paul Studio is particularly well suited to rock, blues, classic rock, hard rock, alternative and general-purpose electric guitar players.
It is an excellent choice for musicians who want genuine USA Gibson construction and traditional Les Paul tones without requiring the extensive cosmetic detailing of higher-priced models.
PLAYING STYLES & APPLICATIONS
The Les Paul Studio works especially well for classic rock, blues, hard rock, alternative, indie and higher-gain lead playing.
The neck humbucker provides a warm and rounded response for smoother lead sounds, while the bridge pickup offers the additional bite and definition required for driven rhythm work.
HOW IT COMPARES
Les Paul Studio vs Les Paul Standard
Both share the fundamental mahogany-body, maple-top and set-neck Les Paul formula.
The Studio generally strips back decorative features such as body and neck binding, focusing more heavily on performance and value.
Les Paul Studio vs Epiphone Les Paul
Epiphone models provide an affordable route into the Les Paul design, while a Gibson Les Paul Studio offers genuine USA Gibson construction and specification.
Les Paul vs SG
Both models are strongly associated with Gibson humbucker tones.
The SG has a thinner double-cutaway body and greater upper-fret access, while the Les Paul provides a more substantial single-cut feel and typically stronger low-mid weight.

FAIR DEAL MUSIC EXPERT VERDICT ★★★★★
Best suited for: Players wanting genuine USA Gibson Les Paul construction in a more stripped-back and practical format.
Customers usually upgrade from: Epiphone Les Paul models, entry-level Gibson guitars and mid-priced dual-humbucker instruments.
Most commonly paired with: Valve amplifiers, overdrive, boost, distortion, delay and reverb effects.
Our tip: At only 7.82 lbs, this is a particularly appealing Studio for players who usually find Les Pauls too heavy. The Wine Red and gold hardware combination also gives it a more premium visual character than many Studio models.
