The Godin Radiator in Black is one of the Canadian manufacturer's more distinctive electric guitar designs, combining unconventional retro-inspired styling with the comfortable playability and practical construction for which Godin is well known.

With its compact single-cutaway body and 24.75" scale length, the Radiator offers an easy, comfortable playing experience while standing apart visually from more conventional electric guitars.

Godin has produced more than one generation of the Radiator, with significant differences in construction, pickups and hardware between versions. The serial number on this individual guitar is 22503110, but its exact production generation has not been assumed from the serial alone.

This Pre-Owned example is finished in Black and is in Good condition.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

The Radiator is ideal for players who want something genuinely different from another Strat, Tele or Les Paul-style guitar.

Its unusual styling gives it plenty of personality, while the 24.75" scale length provides a comfortable feel with slightly softer string tension than a conventional 25.5" Fender-style instrument.

The result is a characterful Canadian-made guitar that works equally well as an everyday instrument or something more unusual within a collection.

DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS

Distinctive Radiator Design

The Radiator has one of the most recognisable body shapes in the Godin catalogue.

Its compact single-cutaway outline and retro-inspired styling give it a personality very different from more traditional electric guitars.

Black Finish

The Black finish complements the unusual body shape and gives this example a clean, understated appearance.

Canadian Construction

The Radiator comes from Godin's Canadian electric guitar production.

Godin has built a strong reputation for carefully finished necks, practical design and excellent value across its North American-made ranges.

24.75" Scale Length

The 24.75" scale length gives the strings a slightly softer feel than a typical 25.5" Fender-style guitar.

This makes bends comfortable and gives the instrument an immediately approachable response.

Passive Electronics

The Radiator uses passive guitar electronics and does not require an external power supply for normal operation.

RADIATOR GENERATIONS

Godin has produced two significantly different versions of the Radiator.

The original Radiator used a chambered Silver Leaf Maple body, Rock Maple neck and a pair of Godin low-noise single-coil pickups. The pickups were controlled by individual Volume controls with a Master Tone rather than a conventional selector switch.

A later Radiator revival used a Silver Leaf Maple body, set neck, rosewood fingerboard, dual Godin Custom humbuckers and a wraparound bridge.

Because those versions differ substantially, generation-specific construction and pickup claims should only be made once the physical configuration of this particular guitar is confirmed.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Godin Radiator is particularly well suited to:

• Godin enthusiasts

• Indie guitarists

• Alternative players

• Rock musicians

• Blues players

• Studio guitarists

• Players who prefer 24.75" scale instruments

• Guitarists wanting something visually distinctive

• Players looking beyond conventional Fender and Gibson-style designs

PLAYING STYLES & APPLICATIONS

Depending on the exact production generation and pickup configuration, the Radiator can work particularly well for:

• Rock

• Blues

• Indie

• Alternative

• Pop

• Roots

• Clean rhythm

• Overdriven rhythm

• Lead guitar

• Studio recording

• Live performance

HOW IT COMPARES

Radiator vs Conventional Electric Guitar

The Radiator uses a far more individual body design than most traditional electric guitars.

Its 24.75" scale keeps the playing feel familiar while the styling gives it a distinctive visual identity.

Radiator vs Fender-Style Guitar

The Radiator's 24.75" scale is shorter than the typical Fender 25.5" scale.

This generally provides slightly softer string tension and easier bending.

Original vs Later Radiator

The two main Radiator generations differ substantially.

The original uses chambered construction and low-noise single coils, while the later revival uses dual humbuckers and a different neck and bridge arrangement.

Most commonly paired with: Clean or valve amplifiers, overdrive, fuzz, delay and reverb.

Our tip: The Radiator exists in significantly different generations, so check the pickup and bridge configuration when comparing examples. The individual guitar matters more here than simply relying on the Radiator name.
