Mackie Thrash 15 V2 Powered Speaker
Description
The Mackie Thrash15v2 is a powerful 15-inch active PA loudspeaker built for live performers, DJs, bands, venues and mobile sound systems that need substantial output with simple, accessible controls.
Its 1300W peak Class-D amplification drives a 15-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver, producing strong low-frequency impact, clear vocal projection and a maximum peak SPL of 129dB. Four selectable voicing modes make it easy to optimise the speaker for music playback, live performance or stage-monitor use, while the switchable Feedback Eliminator helps control unwanted microphone feedback.
Bluetooth 5.0 supports wireless audio streaming and allows two compatible Thrash15v2 speakers to be linked for stereo or dual-mono playback.

Powerful 15-Inch PA Performance
The Mackie Thrash15v2 uses a 1300W peak amplification system divided between a 1000W peak low-frequency amplifier and a 300W peak high-frequency amplifier.
Its 15-inch ferrite woofer delivers a frequency response extending down to 40Hz at -10dB, giving bass instruments, electronic music and full-range playback greater depth and impact. A 1-inch polymer compression driver handles the upper frequencies, helping vocals and instruments remain clear at performance volume.
With 90° horizontal and 60° vertical coverage, the Thrash15v2 can distribute sound effectively across rehearsal rooms, performance spaces and small-to-medium venues.
Four Selectable Voicing Modes
The Thrash15v2 includes four voicing modes designed to suit different applications without requiring detailed equalisation.
Flat Mode
Flat mode provides a neutral response with minimal tonal alteration. It is ideal for users who want the speaker to reproduce the connected source as naturally as possible.
DJ Mode
DJ mode increases low-frequency punch and adds extra high-frequency presence. It is suited to parties, mobile DJs and energetic recorded-music playback.
Live Mode
Live mode focuses the speaker’s response around the vocal range, helping singers, public speakers and presenters project more clearly.
Wedge Mode
Wedge mode places greater focus on the midrange when the Thrash15v2 is positioned horizontally as a stage monitor.
Built-In Feedback Eliminator
Unwanted microphone feedback can disrupt a performance, rehearsal or presentation. The Thrash15v2 includes a switchable Feedback Eliminator designed to detect and suppress problematic feedback frequencies.
The system is activated directly from the rear control panel, giving singers and presenters a practical additional layer of feedback protection without requiring separate processing equipment.
Bluetooth Streaming and Speaker Linking
Bluetooth 5.0 allows music, backing tracks and other audio to be streamed wirelessly from a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer.
A second compatible Thrash15v2 can be linked wirelessly, allowing Bluetooth audio to play through two speakers in either stereo or dual-mono operation.
The physical mic and line input remains operational during Bluetooth streaming. This allows a performer to connect a microphone or instrument while playing backing tracks wirelessly through the same speaker.
Essential Connectivity Without Unnecessary Complexity
The balanced XLR/TRS combination input accepts microphone and line-level signals, making the Thrash15v2 suitable for use with:
-
Microphones
-
Mixing desks
-
Keyboards
-
Electronic instruments
-
DJ controllers
-
Audio interfaces
-
Playback devices
-
Other line-level audio equipment
A balanced male XLR mix output carries the combined physical input and Bluetooth signal to another loudspeaker, recording device or additional part of the PA system.
Rear-panel controls and indicators provide access to:
-
Input gain
-
Microphone or line-level selection
-
Overall speaker volume
-
Voicing-mode selection
-
Feedback Eliminator
-
Bluetooth pairing
-
Wireless speaker linking
-
Signal and overload monitoring
-
Limiter status
The USB connection is provided for firmware updates only.
Built for Live Use
The Thrash15v2 is housed in a rugged enclosure designed for regular transport, rehearsals and performances. Its protective front grille helps shield the drivers, while integrated carry handles make it easier to move between locations.
A built-in pole socket with a tightening screw provides secure mounting on a compatible speaker stand or subwoofer pole. The cabinet can also be positioned horizontally at a fixed 45-degree angle for use as a stage monitor.
Compatible speaker bags, rolling bags, poles, stands and subwoofers are available separately.
Why Choose a 15-Inch Powered Loudspeaker?
A 15-inch powered loudspeaker is an excellent choice when low-frequency weight and full-range output are major priorities.
The larger woofer can reproduce bass instruments, kick drums and electronic music with greater authority than a smaller cabinet. This makes the Thrash15v2 particularly suitable for DJs, live bands and venues that want a powerful standalone loudspeaker.
A dedicated powered subwoofer may still be added when extremely deep bass or higher-output dance-music reproduction is required, but the Thrash15v2 provides a strong full-range foundation by itself.
