What Makes the NUX Steel Singer Drive Special?

Boutique Amp-Inspired Character

The Steel Singer Drive is designed around the tonal character associated with highly regarded Californian boutique amplifiers, focusing on a smooth upper register and sweet, musical midrange.

Rather than producing an overly aggressive distortion sound, it is particularly effective for players looking for warm, natural drive that complements the underlying character of their guitar and amplifier.

Pure Analogue Circuit

The signal processing is entirely analogue, giving the pedal an immediate and responsive feel that works well with changes in picking strength and guitar volume.

Simple Three-Knob Control

The Steel Singer Drive keeps operation straightforward with Volume, Filter and Gain controls.

Gain determines how much overdrive is added, Volume controls the final output level, and Filter provides control over the high-frequency response.

Useful as a Main Drive or Boost

Lower Gain settings can provide a subtle increase in warmth and level, making the Steel Singer useful for pushing an amplifier or another drive pedal.

Increasing Gain moves the pedal into fuller overdrive territory for blues, rock and sustaining lead sounds.

Who Is It For?

The NUX Steel Singer Drive is ideal for guitarists looking for a smooth, amp-inspired overdrive that retains clarity and playing dynamics.

It works particularly well for blues, rock, fusion, country, roots and expressive lead playing, while its relatively simple control layout makes it easy to integrate into almost any pedalboard.

Detailed Features & Benefits

Gain Control

Gain determines the amount of overdrive. Lower settings retain more of the original clean character, while higher settings add increased saturation and sustain.

Filter Control

The Filter control adjusts the high-frequency response, allowing brighter guitars or amplifiers to be softened or darker rigs to be given more presence.

Volume Control

Volume sets the overall output level, allowing the pedal to be matched to the bypassed signal or used to push the input of an amplifier harder.

True Bypass

True-bypass hardware switching removes the effect circuit from the signal path when the pedal is disengaged.
