Ozark 3515BTE Brass Thinline Electric Resonator, (Used, Comm)
Description
The Ozark 3515BTE Brass Thinline Electric Resonator is a distinctive resonator guitar combining traditional metal-body construction with a slimmer, more manageable body depth and built-in magnetic pickup.
Its solid brass thinline body features decorative engraving and a polished nickel-plated finish, giving the guitar the unmistakable visual character associated with classic metal-bodied resonators.
A biscuit-cone resonator system provides the direct, metallic attack and focused midrange that works particularly well for blues, slide and roots playing, while the fitted lipstick-style single-coil pickup with Volume and Tone controls makes it equally practical for amplified performance.
This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, weighs an actual 8.14 lbs, and is supplied without a case.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
The 3515BTE combines the unmistakable sound and appearance of a traditional metal resonator with a much slimmer body format.
The biscuit cone and solid brass body produce the dry attack, strong upper-mid presence and metallic character that suit blues and slide particularly well.
Unlike a purely acoustic resonator, the fitted lipstick-style pickup also makes the guitar straightforward to use on stage or through effects and amplification.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
Solid Brass Thinline Body
The 3515BTE uses a solid brass body with a slim 54mm body depth.
This gives the instrument the authentic feel and weight of a metal resonator while making it less bulky than many full-depth designs.
Decorative Engraving
Engraved detailing across the body gives the guitar a highly distinctive vintage-inspired appearance.
Combined with the nickel-plated finish, it creates a strong visual link to traditional resonator designs.
Biscuit-Cone Resonator
The guitar uses a biscuit-style bridge and resonator cone.
This format is particularly associated with a direct attack, strong midrange and comparatively dry response.
It works especially well for blues and slide.
Mahogany Neck
The solid mahogany neck provides a familiar feel for players moving across from conventional acoustic or electric guitars.
Rosewood Fingerboard
The rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface and is decorated with ornate block inlays.
627mm Scale Length
The 627mm scale length, approximately 24.7", gives the strings a slightly softer feel than a typical 25.5" electric or acoustic.
This can be particularly useful for bends and slide techniques.
42mm Nut Width
The 42mm nut width gives the guitar familiar spacing for conventional fretted playing.
19 Frets
The guitar uses a traditional 19-fret resonator layout.
Lipstick-Style Pickup
A lipstick-style magnetic single-coil pickup provides the amplified voice.
It captures the strings magnetically rather than relying solely on the resonator cone, producing a clear and characterful amplified tone.
Volume & Tone Controls
Dedicated Volume and Tone controls allow straightforward adjustment directly from the guitar.
Acoustic & Electric Capability
The 3515BTE can be played acoustically like a traditional resonator or connected to an amplifier for increased volume and tonal shaping.
8.14 lbs Actual Weight
This individual guitar weighs 8.14 lbs.
The substantial weight is typical of its solid-metal body construction.

HOW IT COMPARES
Thinline vs Full-Depth Resonator
A traditional full-depth resonator has a deeper body and can produce greater acoustic volume.
The thinline 3515BTE feels more compact and manageable while retaining the characteristic metal resonator voice.
Brass Body vs Wooden Resonator
A wooden resonator tends to produce a warmer and more acoustic overall character.
The brass-bodied Ozark delivers a more metallic, immediate and cutting response.
Biscuit Cone vs Spider Bridge
Biscuit-cone resonators typically sound drier, punchier and more direct.
Spider-bridge designs generally offer a more open and sustained character.
Lipstick Pickup vs Piezo
A piezo pickup captures vibration from the bridge.
The lipstick-style magnetic pickup responds directly to the strings, giving the amplified sound more of an electric-guitar character while retaining the visual and acoustic qualities of the resonator body.

FAIR DEAL MUSIC EXPERT VERDICT ★★★★★
Best suited for: Players wanting a distinctive metal-bodied resonator that works equally well unplugged or through an amplifier.
Customers usually upgrade from: Entry-level wooden resonators, standard acoustic guitars and basic slide guitars.
Most commonly paired with: Clean guitar amplifiers, small valve combos, overdrive, reverb and slapback delay.
Our tip: Open D or Open G tuning really brings out the classic character of the biscuit-cone design, especially with a metal or glass slide.
Showroom feedback: The thinline body is one of the biggest attractions here. You still get the substantial feel and metallic character of a brass resonator, but without the bulk of many traditional full-depth designs.
