What Makes The Schecter C-1 Hydro-Dip Special?

The striking Purple Obsidian Hydro-Dip finish immediately separates this C-1 from a conventional solid-colour electric guitar. Underneath the distinctive appearance is a serious modern performance instrument, built around a mahogany body with a carved top contour and a rock maple bolt-on neck.

A pair of Schecter Radio Active pickups provides the powerful amplified voice expected from a modern Schecter, while the 24 jumbo frets, thin “C” neck profile and 14" fingerboard radius offer plenty of room for fast rhythm work, wide bends and technical lead playing. The Tune-O-Matic bridge and string-through-body design provide a straightforward, robust setup with excellent playing stability.

Who Is It For?

The C-1 Hydro-Dip Purple Obsidian is particularly well suited to intermediate and advanced players looking for a modern electric guitar with a fast neck, powerful humbuckers and an individual visual identity.

Its combination of a 25.5" scale, 24 jumbo frets and high-output-style pickup configuration makes it particularly appealing for rock, hard rock, metal, progressive and alternative guitarists, although the conventional volume, tone and three-way pickup controls keep it straightforward enough for a wide range of playing styles.

Why Choose A Modern Double-Cut Electric Guitar?

A modern double-cut electric guitar such as the Schecter C-1 offers excellent upper-fret access and a comfortable platform for both rhythm and lead playing. The 24-fret configuration gives players a full two-octave range on each string, while the flatter 14" fingerboard radius is well suited to bends, faster passages and contemporary playing techniques.

The fixed Tune-O-Matic and string-through-body arrangement is also a strong choice for guitarists who value simplicity and stability without requiring a tremolo system.
