The Sigma 000R-28V is a vintage-inspired 000-size acoustic guitar combining a solid spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides and traditional appointments with a comfortable, versatile body shape.

Its 000-14 fret design provides a more compact and balanced feel than a full-size dreadnought, making it particularly well suited to fingerstyle, acoustic blues, folk, singer-songwriter work and players who simply prefer a smaller-bodied acoustic.

Vintage-style details including herringbone trim, a tortoise-style pickguard and Grover open-geared tuners give the 000R-28V a traditional appearance, while the long 25.4" scale provides plenty of clarity and definition.

This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, weighs an actual 3.96 lbs, and is supplied without a case.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

The 000R-28V is a strong choice for players who want the clarity and balance of a smaller acoustic without sacrificing projection or low-end depth.

The solid Sitka spruce top provides plenty of responsiveness, while the Indian rosewood back and sides contribute depth, harmonic richness and a broad frequency range.

Its 000 body also makes the guitar more comfortable to hold than a larger dreadnought, particularly when seated or playing for longer periods.

DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS

000-14 Fret Body

The 000 body offers a comfortable middle ground between compact parlour-style instruments and larger dreadnought acoustics.

Its balanced response works particularly well for fingerstyle, picking and lighter strumming where individual note definition is important.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top

The solid Sitka spruce top provides a versatile acoustic response with good projection, clarity and dynamic range.

Sitka responds well to both delicate fingerstyle playing and stronger flatpicking, making it one of the most adaptable acoustic-guitar top woods.

Indian Rosewood Back & Sides

Indian rosewood contributes depth and harmonic complexity, helping give the 000R-28V a broader and more resonant response than many similarly sized acoustics.

Mahogany Neck

The mahogany neck provides a stable and familiar foundation while complementing the traditional acoustic construction of the instrument.

Indian Rosewood Fingerboard

The rosewood fingerboard offers a smooth playing surface and gives the guitar a traditional appearance.

25.4" Scale Length

The 25.4" scale length provides slightly firmer string tension than many shorter-scale 000 instruments, helping maintain clarity and projection across the strings.

Bone Nut & Saddle

A bone nut and compensated bone saddle provide durable string-contact points and help transmit string vibration efficiently throughout the instrument.

Herringbone Detailing

The herringbone-style trim reinforces the guitar's vintage-inspired appearance and gives the 000R-28V a more traditional premium aesthetic.

Grover Open-Geared Tuners

Grover open-geared machine heads complement the vintage styling while providing straightforward and accurate tuning adjustment.

3.96 lbs Actual Weight

This individual guitar weighs an actual 3.96 lbs, making it comfortable and easy to manage during longer practice, recording or performance sessions.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Sigma 000R-28V is particularly well suited to fingerstyle players, acoustic blues guitarists, folk musicians, singer-songwriters and players who prefer a smaller-bodied acoustic.

It also makes a strong alternative for guitarists who find a dreadnought physically large but still want a full and articulate acoustic tone.

PLAYING STYLES & APPLICATIONS

The 000R-28V works especially well for fingerstyle, acoustic blues, folk, singer-songwriter material, country, light strumming and recording.

Its smaller body naturally emphasises balance and articulation, while the rosewood back and sides help retain enough low-end depth for fuller arrangements.

HOW IT COMPARES

Sigma 000R-28V vs Dreadnought

A dreadnought generally produces greater low-end power and overall volume, while the 000R-28V offers a more compact body and a more balanced response across the frequency range.

000 Body vs Parlour Guitar

A parlour guitar is typically smaller and more intimate sounding. The 000R-28V provides greater body depth and projection while remaining noticeably more compact than a dreadnought.

Long Scale vs Short Scale 000

The 25.4" scale gives the strings a slightly firmer feel than many short-scale 000 guitars, helping improve clarity and projection for players who use lower tunings or a stronger picking attack.
