Description
Yamaha DXR10mk3 10" Active PA Speaker With Bluetooth And D-Remote App Control
The Yamaha DXR10mk3 is a professional 10-inch active PA speaker designed for performers, presenters, DJs, venues, schools, houses of worship, rental companies and event users who need powerful sound from a compact, highly portable cabinet. As the most compact full-range model in the DXR mk3 Series, the DXR10mk3 delivers impressive output, modern DSP control and flexible connectivity while remaining easy to carry, position and use in tight spaces.
With 2000W peak power, 1000W RMS Class-D amplification, 132 dB maximum SPL, a 53 Hz – 20 kHz frequency range and 90° x 60° coverage, the Yamaha DXR10mk3 is suitable for front-of-house PA use, stage monitoring, speech reinforcement, DJ playback, acoustic performance, rehearsal rooms, corporate events and installation. It combines Yamaha’s Advanced FIR-X Tuning, 96 kHz DSP, Drive Motion Calibration, Bluetooth audio streaming, D-Remote app control and intelligent feedback suppression in a compact moulded enclosure.
Compared with the Yamaha DBR10, the DXR10mk3 offers higher output, Bluetooth connectivity, app-based control, more advanced DSP and greater system-management flexibility. It is the better choice for users who want a compact speaker with professional power, modern control features and long-term versatility.
Why Choose The Yamaha DXR10mk3?
Compact 10" Format With Professional Output
The DXR10mk3 is the most compact model in the DXR mk3 range, making it ideal for users who need serious sound without a large cabinet. Its 10-inch low-frequency driver with 2.5-inch voice coil helps deliver controlled bass, strong midrange and clear vocal reproduction from a speaker that remains practical for regular transport.
This makes the DXR10mk3 especially useful for singers, presenters, mobile DJs, schools, fitness instructors, rehearsal rooms and event users who need a speaker that can work as a main PA, monitor, fill speaker or compact installation cabinet.
2000W Peak Class-D Amplification
The Yamaha DXR10mk3 features a 2000W peak / 1000W RMS Class-D amplifier, split between the low-frequency and high-frequency sections. This gives the speaker strong headroom and fast transient response despite its compact size.
Because the amplifier is built in, no external power amp is required. Connect the speaker to a mixer, DJ controller, microphone source, audio interface or playback device and the DXR10mk3 is ready for professional use.
132 dB Maximum SPL
With a maximum SPL of 132 dB, the DXR10mk3 delivers a very high level of output for a 10-inch powered speaker. This gives users the confidence to use it in demanding compact PA applications, including vocal PA, monitor use, smaller DJ setups, corporate events and live performance.
For users who want a lightweight speaker but do not want to compromise heavily on volume, the DXR10mk3 is an excellent option.
Advanced FIR-X Tuning
Yamaha’s Advanced FIR-X Tuning uses linear phase FIR filter technology to optimise crossover behaviour and correction EQ. In practical terms, this helps the speaker produce smoother, more coherent sound with clear vocals, focused instruments and natural transitions across the frequency range.
For live sound users, this means the DXR10mk3 is not just loud for its size; it is designed to remain balanced and controlled at performance volume.
Drive Motion Calibration
Drive Motion Calibration is Yamaha’s low-frequency control technology for the DXR mk3 Series. It uses DSP to correct speaker movement, helping the low-frequency driver reproduce bass more accurately and with lower distortion.
This is especially useful in a compact 10-inch speaker, where controlled low-frequency performance is important. It helps the DXR10mk3 sound tighter and more confident than a basic compact powered cabinet.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming
Unlike Yamaha’s DBR Series, the DXR10mk3 includes Bluetooth audio streaming. This allows compatible devices to stream audio wirelessly to the speaker, making it useful for background music, interval playlists, rehearsal playback, event cues, fitness classes and quick setup situations.
For professional live sound applications, wired sources are still recommended where maximum reliability is required, but Bluetooth adds useful convenience for everyday use.
D-Remote App Control
The Yamaha D-Remote app allows compatible iOS and Android devices to control and monitor DXR/DXS mk3 systems wirelessly. It provides access to key parameters such as level, delay, EQ, crossover, feedback suppression, ducker, identification, panel lock and scene save/recall.
This is particularly useful when the speaker is on a stand, mounted in an installation or positioned away from the operator. It lets users make adjustments from the listening position rather than repeatedly accessing the rear panel.
Intelligent Feedback Suppressor
The DXR10mk3 includes intelligent feedback suppression designed to reduce unwanted feedback from microphones. Dynamic mode can suppress feedback in real time for handheld microphones, while fixed mode can help identify and manage feedback-prone frequencies for more static microphone setups.
This is particularly useful for speech, live vocals, schools, churches, conferences, fitness instruction and event work.
Auto V/H Position Function
The DXR mk3 Series includes an internal accelerometer that can detect whether the speaker is being used vertically or horizontally as a floor monitor. This allows the speaker to automatically optimise its DSP mode for the position, helping reduce setup time and maintain a suitable response for the application.
For working users, this makes the DXR10mk3 practical for fast changeovers, mobile setups and situations where one speaker may be used in different roles.
Important: Yamaha DXR10mk3 vs Yamaha DBR10
The Yamaha DXR10mk3 is a clear step up from the Yamaha DBR10.
The DBR10 is a reliable and more affordable compact active speaker with Yamaha FIR-X tuning, D-CONTOUR processing and wired input connectivity. The DXR10mk3 offers a more advanced professional platform with 2000W peak power, 1000W RMS output, 132 dB maximum SPL, Bluetooth audio streaming, D-Remote app control, 96 kHz DSP, Drive Motion Calibration, intelligent feedback suppression and deeper system management.
Choose the DBR10 if you want simple, wired Yamaha PA performance and excellent value. Choose the DXR10mk3 if you need higher output, Bluetooth, app control, advanced DSP and more professional flexibility from a compact speaker.

Why Choose A 10" Professional Active PA Speaker?
A 10-inch professional active PA speaker is ideal when portability, clarity and compact size are essential. It is easier to carry than a 12-inch or 15-inch speaker, easier to position in small venues and often excellent for vocals, speech and monitoring.
The trade-off is that a 10-inch speaker does not usually provide the same low-frequency weight as larger cabinets. However, the DXR10mk3 is designed to maximise performance from its compact format, with 2000W peak power, Drive Motion Calibration and advanced DSP helping it deliver controlled, confident sound.
For users who need a compact main speaker, professional monitor, installation cabinet or satellite above a subwoofer, the DXR10mk3 is a highly versatile option.
What Do Advanced FIR-X Tuning, D-Remote And Drive Motion Calibration Do?
Advanced FIR-X Tuning is Yamaha’s crossover and correction technology. It uses linear phase FIR filters to help maintain smoother phase response and clearer sound across the frequency range. This contributes to better vocal clarity, more natural instruments and a more polished overall sound.
D-Remote is Yamaha’s control app for DXR/DXS mk3 systems. It allows users to adjust and monitor speaker parameters wirelessly, including level, delay, EQ, crossover, feedback suppression, ducker, panel lock and scene recall. This is especially useful when speakers are positioned on stands, used as monitors or installed in locations where rear-panel access is inconvenient.
Drive Motion Calibration is a Yamaha DSP algorithm designed to correct low-frequency driver movement. It helps the woofer follow the input signal more accurately, reducing distortion and improving bass control.
Together, these technologies make the DXR10mk3 a much more advanced speaker than a simple compact powered cabinet.
Yamaha has a long history in professional audio, from mixing consoles and loudspeakers to studio equipment and installed sound systems. The DXR Series has become one of Yamaha’s most respected powered speaker ranges because it combines strong output, dependable engineering and practical live sound features.
The DXR mk3 Series builds on that reputation with improved acoustic performance, newly developed driver units, 2000W Class-D amplification, 96 kHz DSP, Bluetooth audio, D-Remote control, intelligent feedback suppression and Drive Motion Calibration.
The DXR10mk3 is the most compact model in the full-range DXR mk3 speaker line. It is ideal for users who want professional Yamaha performance in the smallest and easiest-to-handle format in the range.
